“Holdback”, an unexpected twist of events for followers of Redscale, is actually a bold step forward in terms of pace and light. The enticing chords work like a magnet, and the potential of the lady on the mic is no lower than that one of a siren. The personal weapons of grad_u, the most powerful of which are the embracing loops, are of course out there, indicating the producer’s inner spirit and roots. 

Picking up where “Holdback” left off, “Outwards from Laniakea” is a statement more rugged, yet as absolute as the message on side A. It’s an invitation to put that jacket back to the cloakroom, switch off that phone and let yourself go, again and again. It’s, once again, a compelling statement against conformity.

Next to take a virtual trip Down The Stairs (ok, apart from a few early ones, it's been virtual pretty much the whole time, we'll be honest...) is one half of Australian based duo @Interstellarfugitives, by the name of Georgia Bird (@georgia-bird-3).

It blew us away, and we didn't hesitate to give her a shout with a request to join the DTS ranks. Thankfully, the answer was yes and Georgia has delivered a building hour of rhythmic and heady grooves across to the other side of the world.

Eduardo Jimenez is a Spanish dj/producer/composer that has been contributing to the Electro, Techno and IDM scence across the years, so we are very glad to have him on our platform and to have the honor to present his new exclusive session as Sigma_Álgebra, which is his current artistic project.
 
Sigma_Álgebra's productions feels like it gives the listener a subliminal but deadly order to dance and lose control every time. His hypnotizing grooves, sinister pads, abstract tones, sci-fi atmospheres and freaky breakbeats are the ones to blame on.

Across his career he has been working with labels such as Elektrodos Recordings, Digital Distortions, Urban Connections, Section 27, Crobot Muzik, Anti Grativity Device, ADJ's Earthlings Compilation, as well as working on independent releases.

This new session is a bleepy trip that transports you into a dimension of sonic greatness; frenetic and turbulent, nice combo!

Gated Podcast 22 // Buccari // December 2020

KERG likes tunes of all shapes and sizes. His main influence can be credited to the music produced by the likes of Gerald Donald, Brendan M. Gillen, James Stinson, Gerard Hanson, Kraftwerk and Juan Atkins among many others. This has been a recurring theme that has emanated consistently through the years.

In 2009 he co-founded Binary Funk, a weekly online streaming show. This weekly stream kept going for 3 years and in 2012 after over 130 shows it was time to call it quits. This allowed some free time to focus on producing some music and in 2012 Craig Mac released music on Binalog Frequency, Borg Recordings, The Anti-Social Network and Shameless Toady.

In 2014 he started work on his new moniker, KERG. With the sole aim of diversifying his sound and exploring new styles. This approach has stemmed onto his new project, titled Cult Society.

Cult Society is an entity aimed at exploring and showcasing electronic music which is both boundary pushing and explorative. Exciting times ahead.

Redscale is back! Fantastic news that was hard to keep secret the last few months. After a solid 3 years of working exclusively on building the Greyscale label, owner grad_u felt its the right time to also focus on his own music. And we all can't be more happy to hear what he's been up to!
Redscale #10 has all the hallmarks of the classic output but the energy is dialed up to 11. 'Siren' is a pure dancefloor packer! It has that ideal combination of underground techno club power and catchy supporting chords. Think Aril Brikha's 'Groove La Chord' and you get the idea of a true heater.
'Dancefloor is Dangerous' is on the B-side and it was specifically made for a gig where grad_u showcased his live chops warming up the crowd for Jeff Mills. That big club dub techno sound made to perform live in China, Iran, France and others.
This vinyl will come with full printed cover and special center label artwork. Pressed with black and orange splatter effect on transparent red vinyl with one side that even plays inside out! Expect to move the masses with these 2 showstoppers!
We can't say it enough. Redscale is back!
