We're back with the second season of The 420 Sessions, a series of cannabis-inspired mixes from some of Edmonton's best DJ's and producers and kicking off the second season we have ha ha.

Sarah Farrell aka ha ha is a feminine pillar in the YEG electronic music scene who does it all for the love of house music, healing and creative collaboration. She has been hitting dance floors since 2005 and through her own experience as a dance floor regular she grew into becoming one of the brightest vibe setters in Edmonton. Her sunny disposition radiates through her mixing, getting entire floors moving and laughing together. It’s no joke how good ha ha is at setting a vibe.

The 420 Sessions:  Beat Burglar

Back for Season 2 we have Gatsby!   He did such a great job on the first mix that we were left wanting more so we brought him back for Season Two.
 
Born and raised in Edmonton Alberta, Gatsby has been heavily involved in the local music scene for over 9 years. His track selection and ability to read the room has solidified him as one of Edmonton's top local DJs.

Known for his House sets, this 420 Sessions mix is a step outside his comfort zone bringing his Hip-hop influences into the perfect smoke mix.

You can catch Gatsby at The Womp Summer Party with some of Canadas best local talent August 11th-14th.

Our next feature artist in The 420 Sessions is Edmonton legend Steve's Here. 

Steve's Here bought his first set of  turntables back in 2005. After honing his skills, he popped up on the Edmonton DJ scene and has been rocking dancefloors around local shows and festivals for more than a decade. With a diverse range of styles from funk and hip hop, house and disco, to breakbeat and drum and bass, Steve's Here never fails to find the perfect groove to make you move!

This is a DJ set I made for myself back in the middle of the pandemic. I've been listening to a lot more stuff like this lately especially when I go for a bike ride or a hike. Was listening to it recently on an especially cosmic evening and decided to share it. This was recorded live in one take. I hope it chills you out.

Northern Nights was one of my favorite festivals! I'm so thankful to have played on the main stage for a silent disco sunrise set! I had so much fun and all everyone who turned over to the blue channel to listen had me feeling extra good!

So this mix is years overdue... As a DJ who started out playing strictly DnB I used to have a secret hate on for house music. House was always a dirty word in my vocabulary but over the years, especially during the pandemic I started to dig it more and more. My doctor said there was nothing wrong with me, it's perfectly normal to like house music.😅 I'm no aficionado but, for a while, I've wanted to put together a bunch of my favorite housey & garagey tunes. So here it is, my first ever House (and a little garage) mix Durty Wurd! Perfect for summer time boogies, road trips, pool parties, orgies etc...

Simon Apex.....legendary hardcore DJ and producer, commissioned me to make this mix for the Sacramento Tech Exchange. It's a little bit harder than I usually play, so you can thank Simon for the raveyness. My friend MC Motive did the intro, and I cut up some LL Cool J vocals to spell my name out in the beginning.
