The Carpenters are the Favourite band of all my celebrities.

Their songs have been a part of my childhood, my teenage years and even
now. Especially Karen's voice.
She had a fairly deep, medium-range voice, warm and colorful,
with an exceptional tone.
She was not only a singer, but also a very talented drummer.
Her brother Richard also has an extraordinary voice and does a lot of
backing vocals.

Their two voices alone amply cover the harmony of their tracks.
They're Unique.

I love this song; it's well-paced, as well as the bass and especially the drums.
For me, this song is very hard to sing, 
because the key starts off very low and rises quite high,
and the tempo also increases.

Honestly, I struggled to keep up with the rhythm in both choruses.
As I was saying, my voice isn't what it was 20-30 years ago. 🙂

This track is my very personal take at the Koan "Hear the Clap of your Hand". My lyrics version (https://soundcloud.com/konrad-spittelberg/the-clap-of-one-hand-pp) might make things clearer. (yes, this is my sneaky strategy to guide you from one song to another :-))

Compositionwise, the track is roughly split into two equal parts. The first part introduces its cinematic theme in the very beginning, taking it thereafter up several times with slightly different accentuations and rhythms which gives it a fresh feel with different highlighted nuances in each repetition. Several interludes contribute to the cinematic feeling. 

The second part, starting @1.53 starts by a more Jazzy version of the main theme. However, from 2.20 onwards, it is very restricted in its harmonies - only two harmonies are used from thereon until the end, C major and C# major. The tension arises purely from the rhythmic changes (such as the shift from 4/4 to 3/4 @3.17 and back), climaxing at the end.

The lines (translated, edited, retranslated, reedited...) derive from "Philoctetes“ (409 B.C.), a Greek tragedy by Sophocles (496 - 405 B.C.). Mainly it is Ulysses speaking to Neoptolemos (The son of Achilles) in order to conspire against the bowman Philoctetes…

A little song called Glow I wrote around 2018 timeframe. It's one of those that came together over time, especially the chorus, it was one of those back burner unfinished songs, but certainly never forgotten. I've always enjoyed playing this melody.  I made a few minor changes not long ago, with the arrangement and a few lyrics, and it really feels complete...finally. I had the very good fortune to connect with Andy H aka “Noobly” a few months ago over music that we mutually admired and we agreed to find a future opportunity to collaborate. This is the result. Noobly’s beautifully rich track, propelled by his soaring guitar work, felt like a kind of call to prayer to my ear. I tried to echo this somewhat in singing the bridge. Lyrically, just for kicks I used the Socratic Method to construct the verses (persuasion through Q&A) so that this song’s meaning becomes self-evident and hopefully more of a personal experience for each listener. First of all thanks for dropping in on my page.
I sing, write songs and play rhythm guitar. I'm trying to learn a bit of bass. People tell me I've got a reasonable voice and I have a liking for melody. As I make my way with multi-track home recording, I'm hoping the the end result will be greater than the sum of the parts!
