About one year after our Vol. 2, clubs and dancing bars were closed again in France. This sad news made us decide to launch again our Edits series, slightly renaming it “Paradise edits”. Fortunately, the good contacts we made through the last year helped us pulling together this new compilation quite fast. First, we had the Brooklyn duo Fundido, part of Earth Beat crew, with whom we had been chatting for quite a while and talked many times about having an edit from then. Then, we asked Sputnik, a DJ from Moscow to join, as we were enchanted by his work for That’s A Steal and his release on Gop Tun records earlier this year. A few days later, Nicolas Kotowicz, another Russian artist, contacted us to share his edit and we thought he would be a perfect addition to the comp. Finally, Latane introduced us to Lloyd with a bunch of edits and we were very keen to include him too.
Here’s the result of their works and a few questions we asked them about their stories and their approach to edits.

Jack is Fallen - That’s All Folks (Fundido Edit)

'Power Bossa' is the introduction to Fab Samperi's definition of a boombastic jazz style. Fearlessly and creatively picking up inspiration from the golden decades of classic rhythm & blues, latin, hip-hop and soul Sicily's most prolific producer releases his first full album.
Growing up in Catania during the late Seventies and Eighties Fab Samperi was born into a household full of funky grooves. While his father was a serious collector of jazz records, Fab got to know his brother's soul collection inside out when he was treated to all night vinyl sessions. Over the years Fab started to travel the world, living in Japan as well as Australia and learned his trade by playing a genre-bending mix of funk versus afro meets hip-hop on stage with the Outbound collective.

In music, when people join forces you can expect the best. Many artists collaborated to create this track. Coming from the past, Louis Armstrong and the Jurassic 5 crew. Then Sir Sway got the idea of doing a remix! IncontroL then started to work on the project with DJ Mart One, and Stabfinger joined in to help out later on. Nello our talented mastering engineer brought the final touches to this swing hop tune. We hope it becomes a classic on all the Electro Swing ghetto blaster's out there in the world, so pass it around and let the people dance…
