Whenever you're looking for a melodic and driving trancy techno set, then you have found it with Danusch. The fast-driven sound of the German-Palestinian DJ consists of a mixture of techno and trance ranging between 145 and 155 bpm. Depending on her mood, Danusch will surprise you in her sets with flavours of some old-school trance, powerful vocals or spicy basses. Her passion for music shows behind the decks, which not only makes her eyes sparkle, but creates a unique atmosphere on the dancefloor as well.

INTERVIEW:
1. Wie lange legst Du nun schon auf und wie hast Du es gelernt?

Danusch: Den ersten Kontakt mit dem Auflegen hatte ich durch saffho vor ca. 1.5 Jahren. saffho hatte mich damals zum Gründungstreffen von unserem Kollektiv fak_tue mitgenommen. Damals dachte ich, ich werde nur Social Media machen, aber hab dann zum Glück nach sehr viel Zuspruch und Motivation mich doch an das Auflegen gewagt. <3

2. Gibt es ein bestimmtes Event oder Moment an das/den Du Dich gerne zurückerinnerst?

Die erste Party im Schelling Wohnprojekt werde ich glaub ich nie vergessen. Da habe ich b2b mit @numisss, einem guten Freund von mir, gespielt und wir beide wussten gar nicht, was auf uns zukommen wird. Am Ende war es einer der krassesten Events bei denen wir je dabei waren. Es war mein erstes Outdoor Event, die Stimmung war heftig, alle hatten Spaß und es waren damn viele Leute da, all in all war es einfach ein richtig toller Tag. Das schöne an Tübingen ist, dass es viele tolle Wohnprojekte gibt die viel Liebe in ihre Partys stecken und auch neuen DJs eine Chance geben, deshalb haben Wohnprojekt-Partys immer einen besonderen Platz in meinem Herzen.

3. Was wünschst Du Dir, sollte in der Clubszene .anders laufen?

D: Ich wünsche mir noch mehr Support für DJs die marginalisierten Gruppen angehören, v.a. von den Menschen, die viele Privilegien genießen. Außerdem hoffe ich für die Zukunft, dass Gig-Verteilung weniger über Kontakte läuft, sondern dass mehr auf Sound geachtet wird. Es gibt so viele tolle DJs, die einfach noch nicht so eine große Reichweite haben. Und: mehr Awareness. Nicht nur als Partystruktur für ein sicheres Feier-Erlebnis, aber auch Awareness im Sinne von z.B. diversen Line-Ups.
 
4. Wie würdest Du Deinen Sound beschreiben?

D: Mal verträumt, mal in die Fresse, aber immer treibend und energetisch.

5. Was liegt Dir neben dem Auflegen noch sehr am Herzen?

D: Alles Gute und Schlechte was in meiner Heimat Palästina abgeht bewegt mich sehr. Sonst sind die Themen psychische Gesundheit, Migration & Flucht und Empowerment von FLINTA*s in der Musikszene weitere Herzensthemen von mir.

6. Wenn Du ein Wort wärst, welches wäre das?

D: شطورة - "Shatoura". Arabisch für sowas wie "Die Fleißige": Ich werde von meiner Familie immer wieder so genannt :)

7. Musik machen bedeutet für Dich …?

D: Es bedeutet für mich vor allem Halt & Struktur in guten und schlechten Zeiten. Außerdem auch eine Flucht vom Alltag, mit Musik kann man kurz die Welt pausieren und alles um sich herum vergessen, das ist so magisch. 

8. Hast Du bestimmte Pläne, Ziele, von denen Du uns erzählen möchtest?

D: Es ist mein größter Wunsch mal in Palästina zu spielen, z.B. bei einer Party von "The Union Collective". Außerdem hat mich das Moyn Festival dieses Jahr absolut verzaubert & mein Herz gewonnen, da würde ich auch so gerne mal dabei sein. <3

Elipamarecap number 23 was cooked by our resident @lars-goldammer. He has been a DJ since probably forever and is a connoisseur of the good old Detroit Techno on vinyl. His podcast is a soulfoul piece of the futuristic detroit sounds and captivating melodies with feel good vibes, while also showing us that music is always a cycle and everything comes back some day - maybe just in slightly different ways. Our this weeks guest has been a friend of our collective from day one and we can always rely on his finest track selection. Arndt vom Schall ( @arndtvomschall )from our homebase Wuppertal, has played the opening set for our very first party - and he‘s been a frequent guest ever since, enriching us on a professional and personal level. Even though he feels at home in various different musical territories, this driving minimal techno set reflects his overall style very well and will take you on a journey through shadow and light while keeping you on your toes. Don‘t even think about sitting still - it won‘t happen.

https://soundcloud.com/teer-659600292 hat seine Wurzeln schon von Anfang an in der Kasseler Kulturszene und hat mit der Gründung von rough.techno und dem chng Kollektiv seine beiden Träume verwirklicht, nämlich die Clubkultur in Kassel neu zu gestalten. Schon seit vielen Jahren beschäftigt sich Teer mit elektronischer Musik und ist schließlich ans Auflegen durch die Leitung des Kulturzentrums Färberei gekommen.

Lieben gelernt hatte er Techno in all seinen Variationen auf dem zweiten Floor in der Färberei, den er gegründet hatte, um jungen DJs eine Plattform zu bieten und eine neue Welle von Newcomern erste Bühnenerfahrung zu geben. Er selbst hatte auch seine ersten Auftritte vor etwa zwei Jahren in dem Kulturzentrum. Inspiriert hatte ihn von Anfang an die treibende Musik, welche die Menschen in einen Rauschzustand versetzte und die Wirkung erzeugte, dass Menschen nicht mehr von der Tanzfläche gehen konnten. Seine ersten großen Berührungspunkte mit groovigem Techno hatte er durch das https://soundcloud.com/limstudio aus Darmstadt, welches ebenfalls zu Beginn seiner Färberei-Leitung in der Färberei gespielt hatte.

Danach entwickelte er immer wieder seinen eigenen Sound. Seine aktuellen Genres, die er in Kassel spielt, könnten nicht vielfältiger sein. Auf der einen Seite spielt er funky oder deepen Hardgroove, auf der anderen Seite, zu manchen speziellen Anlässen, Schranz und Hardtechno. Beide Genres charakterisieren jedoch einen treibenden und mitreißenden Sound, den er stets weiterentwickelt und optimiert, so dass die Zuhörer*innen von ihm in den Bann gezogen werden.

In diesem Set könnt ihr seine Varianten aus der deepen Hardgroove-Richtung entdecken, bei dem ihr nicht mehr aufhören könnt, den Groove zu fühlen. Er bereitet euch auf den Sommer vor und lässt euch noch die letzten Winterstimmungen erleben, bevor es bald wieder richtig losgeht.

https://soundcloud.com/teer-659600292 has its roots from the very beginning in the cultural scene from Kassel and has realized both of his dreams with the founding of rough.techno and chng.ks, namely to reshape club culture in Kassel. For many years, Teer has been involved with electronic music and finally got into DJing through the management of the Färberei.

He learned to love techno in all its variations on the second floor at Färberei, which he founded to offer young DJs a platform and give a new wave of newcomers their first stage experience. He himself also had his first big gigs at Färberei about two years ago. From the very beginning, he was inspired by the driving music, which put people into a state of hypnotic groove to never leave the dance floor. He first came into contact with groovy techno through https://soundcloud.com/limstudio from Darmstadt, which had also played at the Färberei at the beginning of his management.

After that, he continued to develop his own sound. His current genres, which he plays in Kassel, could not be more diverse. On the one hand, he plays funky or deep hard groove, on the other hand, on some special occasions, he plays schranz and hard techno. However, both genres are characterized by a driving and captivating sound, which he constantly develops and optimizes so that listeners are captivated by him.

In this set you can discover his variations from the deep hard groove direction, where you won't be able to stop feeling the groove. He prepares you for the summer and lets you experience the last winter moods before things are getting serious again
