Sonic scapes of sound and substance may rouse the keen ear into discovery. When one really listens, everything is music, and when one really experiences, one is everything. This is the theme of "I The Beholder", the absolute power one has on their perception and Aeonium's desire to use this for good, for the manifestation of beauty. 

Over 4 years in the making, I The Beholder incorporates absolutely everything the Dutch multi-instrumentalist has in his repertoire, from several instrumentations on piano, santur, handpan and many more, to tape, synthesizer and field recording, all fuzzed through the creative process of digital production. From oriental house to wicked shuffles, from dubby basslines to ambient textures, this album represents the variety of music and their possible fusions when the listener sets their mind to really listening and taking this process as an active endeavor. Greatly enhanced by the beautiful sounds of Nienke Deiter, Frodi Fransman and Namasterri.

An alluring road unfurls before you. It is vibrant and gravity-defying, filled with oddities uncommonly seen by your typical human. In the distance, you can spot a man, perched aside the pavement. This man, Supersillyus, is your newfound guide down a path that he alone can escort, and the road is titled “Charade”. While this album may only be six tracks in length, contained within each song is a pilgrimage of the strange, curious, and interesting, totally over 40 minutes when combined. While a psychedelic sound design may seem the obvious focal point, the intricate drum work and charming melodic songwriting should not go unnoticed to the observant individual. With his fans in mind, Supersillyus has joined forces with Gravitas Music to circulate his elaborate creation, providing a free/pay-what-you-want download for all who wish to travel the path.

Incantations

A project unlike any other comes to Desert Trax this fall. Between 2009 and 2012, psychedelic bass producer Twin Shape created but left unfinished three songs that tied him inextricably to a certain time and place. As the years went on, these pieces remained rough and untouched, until he sought the help of three fellow producers to help him complete these songs.
The result is the 'Auxiliatus' EP. From the Latin to support, Alterra, Shwamp , and COAM stepped in to give Twin Shape distance, perspective, and help to revisit these original creations and give them a contemporary feel on Seeded, D&N and Glimpse, respectively. Three tightly wound compositions that have spanned nearly a decade since their inception now come to life with throbbing low end and alien implications. A strong recommendation for fans of Bird of Prey, Phutureprimitive, and Ott.

Standout Desert Trax contributor Key-G steps in for a remix of the Alterra collab, Seeded, to round out this 4-track set. The Auxiliatus EP is finally available September 13th.
