“Ironic Bill” is a story, put to song, about a fictitious homeless man forced to live in the shadows of society, and of the very government that is tasked to help those like him. A person whom “civilization” has effectively discarded.

Old Bill’s entire life is surrounded by the irony of his very existence, and by those who cannot, or will not see him as a sentient human being. One with a kind heart, a courageous soul, and a deep understanding of nature and humanity.

Any proceeds that might come from this production will be donated to helping the homeless.

I wrote this simple song as a tribute to my daughter and for all daughters. Daughters are the true continuity of the human race. I hope the lyrics have meaning for you as they do for me. By request, I am posting the lyrics:

Something about Autumn-the crisp cooling weather-skies seems clearer--shedding leaves just before the cold winter--the crops have all been harvested-- for me, it seems a little  slower and more  peaceful--natural process of nature and life--my mind feel more at ease--my body feels more relax--my favorite time of year

I grew up in the Mississippi Delta on a Louisiana share cropper's farm.   A lot of hard work and a lot of good memories.  Those days are gone now.  Sometimes that farm feels like a long lost friend.   I can feel the wind as it blows through my hair and smell the rain as it approaches and falls on plowed ground.
