Lead Singer/promoter, booker, webmaster for the bands SoulSistahMel and The Melanie Carney Duo.  We are a Blues/Soul/R&B cover band heavily influenced by Blues Divas like Susan Tedeschi, Bonnie Raitt,  Etta James and Koko Taylor, plus great old blues by Junior Wells, Robert Johnson and much more. Classic Soul/R&B by Aretha Franklin, Stevie Wonder, The O-Jays and more, as well as great Neo-Soul Artists like Adele, Joss Stone, Amy Winehouse and Duffy. 

We also do great classic rock by Zeppelin, Cream, War, Black Crowes, Robert Palmer, Free and others.   

Basically we get you movin and groovin!

Dan has been composing music since he was 10 years old. His last project was Track44, a blues/funk band. Before that, Dan was the first keyboard player in Bees Deluxe and the ill fated and aptly named HardTime.

On this page, Dan posts embryonic demos, "works in progress." Your feedback is welcome, but please remember these are demos produced in garageband, so many parts will not sound "right". 

And Dan's voice is an acquired taste, like bourbon. In fact, the more whiskey you consume, the better he sounds.
