If you haven’t checked out this show before, it’s all about the underground vibes… music with emotion, energy and drive… criss-crossing the boundaries of proper house music, off the beaten track disco, global grooves and more … all selected to transport you to a dark sweaty club just like it used to be way back when 🎵😅🕺🏾

I kicked the show off with an hour of goodies dug from my vinyl and digital crates, including something beautifully leftfield from DJ Emma, a Janet Jackson dub from the legends Frankie and David, another wicked edit from Young Pulse, a late 90s garage cut from the Grant Nelson stable and loads more.

Then in part two, I handed over the controls to my good pal Faz (@stevefarrell) who has delivered a superb guest mix. This might be at a higher tempo from what we normally get from the Midnight Riot DJ, but still contains loads of uplifting jazzy disco goodness and includes several brand new promos that you will want to feast your ears on! DJ Emma is a DJ and producer.  She has a passion for the genres of funk, soul, disco and house. On this page you will find mixes and past radio shows from her time at Select Radio and also her new residency on Brighton Based Radio Station 1BTN. 
She is also a regular on her local BBC Radio Wiltshire where she curates specialist music shows and is also a Friday night resident DJ.
DJ Emma regularly DJ's around Bristol and London with gigs at The Thekla, Brixton Jamm, 93 Feet East, Spiritland and Hootenanny Brixton - she also DJ's at many of the UK festivals including Camp Bestival, Shindig, We Out Here, Wilderness and more.

With 30 years’ experience behind the decks - spinning uplifting House, Disco, Edits and more - London-based Greg Middleton is a versatile DJ, from warming things up with laid-back grooves to closing out a night with peak-time floor-fillers. Greg’s sets are fun and nostalgic, yet sophisticated and unpredictable, with rock solid vocals, funky and soulful grooves, layers of organic percussion, and hints of classic house - a nod to his musical roots.

Greg began collecting records and learning the DJ ropes in the early 90s, introducing himself to the club scene spinning House at various nights across the Midlands before moving onto playing at famous London clubs such as SW1 and The Cross.

Over the following decade, Greg broadened his style, heavily influenced the emerging Edits scene championed by the likes of Greg Wilson, Late Nite Tuff Guy and Dr Packer. He then held a three-year residency at the Big Chill Bar (one of London’s long-established venues), where he further honed his skills, reading the crowd and building the tempo while spinning long, genre-hopping sets.

Starting his own regular club night called Borderline in 2018, Greg brought his funky, party vibe to a packed-out, intimate venue in South-West London. When the pandemic hit, Greg took Borderline to the virtual airwaves, doing live streams every Saturday night during the lockdowns, with lively chatrooms and a growing following. The club nights returned with a bang in March 2022, and are going from strength to strength.

As a member of the “Disco Waltons” family, a group of DJs, producers and enthusiasts with a fast-growing reputation, he is currently co-producing the weekly Disco Waltons Sunday Service show on NDC Radio, with guests such as Michael Gray, Richard Earnshaw, Mark Brickman, Jamiroquai's Derrick McKenzie and Greg Wilson.

Greg is also co-host of Pete Ellison's award-winning radio show the Feel Good Friday Show, currently airing weekly on NDC Radio.
