A drummer from the age of seven, his intuitive ear naturally turned digital and has been catching the attention of industry heads in recent years. Armin has been into techno for over 30 years. Started DJing in the 90s. He is still Hobby-DJing, mainly with Vinyl. Since the early 2000 years active in the scene in and around Erlangen / Nuremberg (Germany). Member of local non-Profit Electronic Party Collective called "STRONG SIGNALS". The first  own produced releases came out in 2022 on the Greyscale label.

So...I take a deep breath now...because this is something so very special to me what I am able to introduce to you now...since a certain time a nice ongoing connection of music love has build to  Chris a.k.a. Noosa Soundsystem from Australia. And now he has built a set especially for MLD!! Can't believe that this is real now...he is such a talented producer and those who know about his releases find a very unique and deep sound in his tracks...also his fast developement is amazing and very inspiring for me...I'm curious about his process in future!
so here's  what Chris himself says about this special mix:
"Rather than opting to beat mix a dub techno set, I wanted to create something special for this guest mix - and in so doing - maybe share a deeper insight into the sonic aesthetic that informs the Noosa Sound System project. Taking a deep dive into my personal archives for this session, we navigate some pretty abstract long-form ambient territory in places. Whilst there is also some re workings of material from the Beyond the Sphere album that released last year on Greyscale. 
Normally some of these more experimental recordings might sit on the hard drive, as sample material or sound design references. However putting them together into a different narrative that wouldn't usually eventuate, has been a super interesting exercise leading to this exclusive set.
I hope you enjoy the session as much as I did, and if you listen carefully, you'll hear someone present during recording, loose it at one point as we start spinning a radio on the old 1200 Mk2. I left this in the final edit because it captures the fun to be had when we don't take our time in the studio too seriously! All that remains now is to express my thanks, much love and respect to Sai for the invite to MLD, and of course to you for listening - whoever you are - please don't be a stranger!

Today we have a very special NY gift with some unreleased tracks.

DJ and producer Bjarnar Jonsson aka Ohm (@ohm-599575574) is one of the leading figures in the Icelandic contemporary techno scene. Widely associated with iconic labels such as @thule-records, @achim-szepanski, @rawax-chiwax-housewax, @luckofaccess , @tapedartifact, @kontacthelsinki and @allinnrecords !

Ohm stays true to his roots by consistently innovating his interpretation of techno music, intergrating soul and innovation with the scene. 

The #Copenhagen - based artist was born and raised in #Reykjavik, #Iceland, and caught the music bug early on. In 1999 his debut release, a collaboration with the Icelandic techno legend @exos, was released on Force Inc and was critically acclaimed. Since then he has been a constant source of techno anthems – most recently releasing his works on Thule Records, Rawax,Taped artifact, AE records, @xozmusic, @solid-groove-records and Kontakt records – and working with veterans such as @octalindustries and his long time collaborator @exos, and now recently with @kvadrant, label boss of Kontakt records and host of the legendary Tweak fm shows. He has been a regular guest at the legendary techno club Culture Box in Copenhagen – alongside frequently performing in his native country. 

Because of Ohm’s unique style, it’s hard to label his music but you can definitely hear influences from Detroit tunes, dub and of course classic minimal techno. He tries hard not to be limited to any specific formulas and manages in that way to successfully create his own distinctive sound. Constantly evolving his production skills and questioning the things around him. Ohm seeks to inspire his listeners with sounds both reduced and rough, balanced by emotional and surprising moments throughout his sets. Between pure techno, banging dub techno tracks, tracks old and new, Ohm communicates his message with an apparent effortlessness.

Francisco Aguado is the latest up and coming producer to be featured on Greyscale's already deep and talented roster. 'Cosmology' is EP #12 for the label and it features 3 examples of deep techno styled tracks that are reminiscent of the what made the genre loved by so many. Steady determined beats with subliminal chords of beauty textured by hazy phasing and waves of subs that you wish would go on forever. 'Gravity' is a fine track to open up any deep-rooted DJ set with. It's classic dub pacing and gentle stop and start beats makes it a great piece for djs to mix with. 'Relativity' takes us deeper down the rabbit hole. Soft chords fluctuate to addictive levels for late drives and after hour clubs. 'Symmetry' has that head bobbing snap and funk needed to end the record on a high note with sounds almost like a classic Intrusion style jam on Echospace. 'Cosmology' is essentially a great balance of deep techno tracks for different times of the night. Look no further if sharp, energetic and classic dub sounds for the dancefloor are what you are after.
