GriffinGrrl x Audio Angel - The Unveiling

Christine Michelle, a Seattle based DJ and producer, was born in Seattle's Capitol Hill neighborhood and raised surrounded by music which developed a deep love for piano, brass, and strings with classical and jazz influences.

She first discovered Seattle's underground dance music scene in the 1990's. Her love of music and dancing grew at parties like Freak Night, Nocturnal Wonderland, and at venues like Vinylized, NFT, DV8, Noc Noc, and the Fenix Underground, to name a few. This background led her to DJing in the summer of 22'.

Christine is known for weaving bass-forward dark melodic and atmospheric sounds through a multiverse of genres moving dance floors and has shared her craft at many of Seattle's top night-clubs such as Monkey Loft, Cherry, Kremwerk, Hidden Hall, Nectar Lounge, Madame Lous, Supernova, SeaMonster Lounge as well as headlining at The Mercury and shared her sound at festivals such as Ignition NW, Cascadia, APOG  supporting headliners such as TONY H, ATYYA, CREACH, Lyrah, Massane, VNSSA, Fred Everything, Marbs, Lucati, Rimarkable, Ian Pooley, Dosem, and Anyasa. Christine has also been featured on C89.5 The Vortex, Proton Radio Amplified and Innerflight broadcast. 

Inspired to bring the dance music together to connect and share, Christine founded Elevated Frequencies events in March of 23' and holds residencies through Reflect and Emergence DNB as well as promotes for Caravan. 

October 23' Christine Michelle has been focused on bringing her creativity to the studio where she works to produce bass-forward dark atmospheric music focused to raise vibrations and transcend dance floors.

Hyasynth, also known as Karen Baskett, is a Belize-based DJ who fell in love with house music as a club dancer attending raves in college. She learned how to mix records once she moved to Manhattan in 2000, began getting her own gigs and establishing her deep, soulful, disco-influenced sound in NYC clubs, then she moved to Seattle in 2004 where she started an all-female group called Grace Sessions with Erin O’Connor-Drew at See Sound Lounge. 
 
Over the years Hyasynth has been a member of the De La Creme and Bottom Forty crews, she frequently plays Seattle clubs as a special guest with other crews, her mixes have been featured on radio stations such as KEXP, 107.7 theEnd, and 89.5, and she is the newest resident DJ with Flammable Sundays at Chop Suey, the longest running weekly house party on the west coast. 
 
Professionally she recently retired as a performer and dance instructor, so rhythm and musical timing are innate. Now Karen is a Certified Ayurveda, Yoga + Sound Practitioner who uses house music to help in the healing process. She is the founder of the AHA Life Lab, a wellness studio in Placencia, Belize. 

Hyasynth is known for her energetic and passionate performances that are sure to lift your spirits and get you moving! She is invigorated by the sense of community found on a dancefloor and enjoys sharing her favorite music with others. Catch her joyful sets when you can!

Emily’s journey began in the 90s Los Angeles rave scene then she became DJ Ms.E, a radio host on KUSF’s FutureBreaks.FM, and co-founder of San Francisco's club night Eklektic. Her passion for positive, music-driven media has led to collaborations with XLR8R Magazine, Xbox Entertainment, vinyl and digital record labels, film & TV sync licensing, and numerous performances in the U.S. and internationally. Emily is a trusted community builder and mentor, dedicated to nurturing the next generation of music and tech leaders. Known for her magnetic, uplifting sets, GriffinGrrl is now based in Seattle representing Uniting Souls Music.

Wesley Holmes has been integral in the Northwest’s dj & dance community for the past 25+ years. He was a part of a core group that pioneered the house music scene in Seattle and helped provide a foundation for the thriving dance scene that transpires in Seattle today through an extensive list of club/event productions, residencies, radio work, and behind the scenes efforts over the years. Wesley’s abilities behind the decks, musical depth, and outright love for underground music resonates through his infectious dj sets and mixes.  Wesley’s current residencies with Flammable, Lost and Upper Left keep him both on the front edge of the underground and in front of some of the largest electronic music audiences in the NW.
