Emile Strunz was born across the dancefloors of Spain, Germany and London, amidst the dry ice and strobes at many a Front 242 and Nitzer Ebb gig. Exposure to the UK's club scene over a 20-year period has seen Emile contribute to Mixmag and write for the Cream clubbing empire.

A sound has slowly develop and christened 'North Sea Body Music' comprising of driving controlled electronic sequences, tribal rhythms, and robotic chanting. His debut single, 'Shields', released on Andy Blake's World Unknown label in 2012 was an immediate introduction to his hard, heavy and hypnotic electronic sound. This has been followed up by releases on Porn Wax, Flight Recorder and Rothmans. For Join Our Club he continues his sonic quest and journey into the night with 2 precise slabs of dancefloor-driven synth-heavy lo-slung hypnotica for Balearic Beat Boys (and Girls).

Something Is Wrong

Few weeks after delivering the mindblowing "Desire Ep" by labelhead and stellar producer Tensnake, True Romance keeps on a hot streak with another delightful two tracker.The crew saw dj/producer OJPB play some time ago at Heideglühen club in Berlin . In the midst of his set he dropped a mysterious track that completely lit the crowd up, it was "E-Lane 2 Troy" here premiered. In this offering, True Romance introduces Montreal based OJPB (also known as Bowly, DÐD, MTSP). Through this alias, French-born Olivier Borzeix delivers raw and adventurous rhythms sourcing his inspirations in rare funk disco nuggets and the golden age of house music, blending it into what he likes to call : Hypnotic Soul. "E-Lane 2 Troy" is an uplifting cosmic mind bender. With its brilliant disco loops and infectious trance inducing melody, this is one that will fill and fire up dancefloors all over, be sure of it ! A silence fell throughout the great tent. The lights darkened and a strange fear ushered its way through those who had gathered to watch. This was a cult, a celebration, a plan for the future. However, that did not mean that it did not strike fear into their very core, for it was supposed to, it was supposed to be unnerving. Abnormal, abhorrent, it was a thing of beauty. A large cry echoed throughout the space, it beckoned and bellowed against the walls of the tent. This was for my people. 
Deeply Cultured is a record label originating from the streets of London. Moda, based in Sweden provides their second release.

"Amadeus" label sees itself yet again graced by the California-gone-Berlin coastal conﬁdant, Steve Huerta. Preparing his fourth record for the imprint, Huerta sets a mood of what is to be his best record to date. Bringing along fellow expatriate and Berlin-based producer Youandewan (of "Secret Sundaze" and "Aus Music" fame) along with him. Aside and forefront club-track, “Mandala, here, ” carries itself through chugging shakers and pad-work, held tightly in place by the squelchy, off-kilter lead. The tune never quite sits still, bubbling about by each percolating percussive layer. Out soon !

Factory Floor - "Ya"

The defining characteristics of a difference in detail can be ever so slim. Pentatonik variation would be the only giveaway found within the composition. It was all in the detail, he had constructed it to be so. Hours of neverending intricacy and practise had been spent slaving away upon this great project, a feat not many could have said to of accomplished. 
A Fine Tuning Creation is a moniker of Aryo Adhianto. His musical background is based upon jazz, pop, experimental elements and dance and this has  since been expressed through his talent on a keyboard. Double Deer records are set to release the record in the coming months.

Calypso is the new label from Iñigo Vontier (Mx) and Thomass Jackson (Arg) which will focus on promoting latinamerican artists. With a solid background from both artists releasing on labels like Turbo, Correspondant, Gomma, Her Majestys Ship, My Favorite Robot and many more, Calypso promesses to deliver an inmersion into some of the best artists of the underground latinamerican electronic scene. 
For the first track on the B-Side Thomass Jackson gives us "Fantomas", a creepy funky track that will fit perfectly for Dracula's birthday with dirty vocals and misterious samples. The full release will also come wth tracks from Iñigo Vontier and up-and-coming producers Colossio and Mendrix both hailing from Mexico.
The first 12" will see the light somewhere in the beggining of June.

PRÈMIÉRE: Thomass Jackson - Fantomas [Calypso]

The German producer @KikeamRadar returns to @DogsAndVulturesRecords, this time with 'Testament', a ray of light that  manages to keep us afloat through the cold and lack of sun . In his latest work he has managed to take his music to another level, more narrative, reflective and intimate, mixing different influences using old and new synthesizers and analog drum machines and combining them with plug-ins and digital effects.

Acclaimed French band @VoxLow takes on 'In Troubled Times' and really make it their own, in a way only they can . Elegant in its own unique right it takes the original to even higher levels with their trademark bass. We're sure this one's going to have lasting appeal and a track you'll be hearing much more of.

The  EP is completed with other excellent remixes from Nozz and  Montcosmik.

This mini LP is an explicit message from Lustpoderosa's sonic continuum. These 7 tracks show the deep connection of Marlene Starks' work as a writer and an artist to her role as mother and DJ in times when there is an urgent need to dismantle the patriarchy in our society and rave culture.
Marlene Stark is telling us much more than a great musical story with the symbolic title “Hyäne”. Marlene wants to direct our attention to a reviled creature while she reflects on its literary and symbolic meanings. Although hyenas live in a matriarchal society, its transmutation can be perceived as the ongoing struggle of the non-male body in an androcentric world view.
Marlene Starks reinterprets the figure of the hyena in a very poetic, self-ironical and honest way, as shown in the tracks ‘Hungry As a Hunter’, 'Hyäne’ and ‘Language Of Old Woman’. It's a neo-ceremonial call to rethink established structures without missing out the turbulent landscape of today's politics.
From early trip-hop to post-rave elements, Stark combines her sonic adventures with an impressively nonchalant and colloquial vocabulary. Her voice, as well as the voice of guest singer Stefanie Mader, achieves a remarkable vocal structure that goes beyond the mainstream.
This is the contemporary body music for the next generation.

Marlene Stark is a DJ, producer, author, artist and mother. She is a regular at the @Sameheads Club Berlin where she hosts her party called 'Superposition'.
In 2019, Marlene published her debut novel "M" with co-author Anna Gien at Matthes and Seitz. The book talks about the systematic oppression of women in capitalism and in the art scene while talking about Berlin, its music scene, djing, drugs, sexuality and Male Gaze.
Marlene's debut album 'Hyäne' is a continuation of her work. It’s a thoughtfully influenced and neo-ceremonial music that aspires to evoke body trance and the awakening of hysteria. Marlene Stark floods the dancefloor with rhythmic body music that is dark, courageous and vocal in a political and in a poetic way. The tracks are influenced by early Breakbeat, Downtempo, Trance and Acid, with hints of Trip Hop, Tribal, Psychedelic and Krautrock.
