Denmark has been an absolute hotbed for high quality producers and DJ's of late. Since the first Regelbau release in 2014, there has been a constant stream of talent for us to discover. 

It seems there is a true community supporting each other through collaboration, distribution, and mentoring. 

DJ Popup has been making serious waves since the launch of their NES label. A fresh outlook on house music that is both forward thinking yet subtly nodding to the past and those that paved the way. 

I was delighted when I received this mix. Good honest house music put together with care and attention.

Fervent advocate of the return of Garage and 90's House since 2008, Kicks is a well-established producer and DJ in the French scene since his first release on Cracki Records in 2013. Whether digging deep in 90’s and early 00's House, or more modern stuff, Kicks always keeps his underground personality and the chord-filled sound that define his style. A clever blend of club and soulful elements taking the best from each generation which convinced labels like Rutilance, Joule (Janeret), and Ordinaire. His tracks are played by Djoko, Cinthie or Chris Stussy, the latter estimated "Marvin" as the best of 2020.

Gallegos has been busy. We mean like real busy. Over the past seven years he has released a solid, steady stream of records which have worked their way in to the bags and hands of discerning DJ's and has carved out a niche for himself as part of a rising array of new House music producers with integrity and gusto.

Releases on the likes of Rhythm Section, Slump, Banoffee Pies, Holding Hands and Curving Track have showed his versatility in respect to sound design, weaving between genres with ease.

As a dj his style is focussed on the purest of principles. House music is the fundamental bread and butter of what he does and he does it bloody well.

It's not just us who have noticed. Next month he will appear at Panorama Bar as part of the twenty year celebrations of Berghain, no small feat.
