Lost Control 2097 present the long awaited follow up to last years debut Hydro-Trip Vol. 1 EP from Berlin based producer Black Eyes who's fresh off releases on Upstairs Asylum and Rawax.

Hydro-Trip Vol. 2 is a mixture of warm rugged soulful house drawing inspirations from the oceans wildly flowing life. A combination of subterranean chord rawness, crunchy drum workouts, sleazy basement vox and a very dope remix from Detroit myth-like producer 'Walt J' round off an EP constructed for the real deep house katz. 

As per usual, scuba gear is heavily encouraged. Let's keep it REAL deep!

Arguably the most soulful track on the EP, its evolving rhythm guides us through a dreamlike journey, while vocal riffs complement a swaying, adventurous deep groove. Featherstone returns to Ernest's Way with the “Pivot” EP, offering up six tracks that effortlessly blur the lines between various electronic music genres.
The A-side kicks off with “Pivot” where a driving breakbeat rhythm propels the track forward, enhanced by ethereal vocal cuts and rhythmic bass sequences. “Underneath It All” lightens the mood with swung drums, call and response vocals, and emotive string pads that draw the listener in, before “Moving Towards You” rounds out the first side with weighty basslines and acidic leads.   

On the B-side, “After the Rain” locks into a repetitive rhythm while dreamy synths evolve and lift the energy as the track builds. “Eclipsed” deepens the experience, exploring a moodier and more intense sonic landscape. “Cipher” the final track, leaves the repetitive rhythm behind and delivers leftfield sound design scattered over a spatial broken beat.

For their recent capsule collection in collaboration with Obey Clothing, Klasse Wrecks label owners Mr. Ho and Luca Lozano turn their hands to an EP entitled 'FREE TEKNO'. Inkeeping with the range's celebration of free spirited exploration and unbridled creativity the well seasoned and experienced production duo provide 4 tracks of various flavours.

The mood is a little darker and faster than usual KW fare and throws knowing glances to late 90s genres such as Tribal Techno and Acid Breaks. The resulting EP is a good reflection of two producers happily in their own lane, enjoying the journey that come alongside with making music and running a record label.

Ted Davis is no stranger to the dimly lit corners of electronic music and club culture. The NYC resident is a prolific writer who purveys several genres with a tactful ear and keen aural awareness. His frequent DJ appearances only deepen this knowledge, which blends multitudes of genres and styles.

It is no surprise then that, as a producer, Davis’s productions run a slick gamut of techno, house, IDM, electro, and beyond. Under his DJ STEPDAD alias, he has successfully traversed the lofi house genre and returned after each release with something bigger, better, and more intriguing than the last.

When approached to release his newest offering, “the hits with DJ CLUB”, image research jumped on the opportunity. Operating like an a/b-sided single, the EP flows in two movements. “lambrusco jam” sets the scene with static hiss and misty, laser-etched synths. Throbbing bass, stacked percussion, and hushed acid droplets spring in and out of focus. As the halfway point comes, the club stomping kick brings forth an epic and euphoric closing. “club bliss” continues the 4-on-the-floor rhythms as angelic pads seep out of the back layer, into the front, and back again.

Earth Trax transforms Go With Madness into a euphoric peak time corker. Full of smiles and surprises, it’s a pure endorphin rush, and masterclass in making an irresistible dance track.

Maara goes with madness, cranking up the bpm, and conjuring a version that is deep into prog territory. A propulsive proto trance journey through winds and dungeon echoes.

On her version of Alien, Roza Terenzi casts a hypnotic spell of ghostly melodies and vocal hooks. Her deeper interpretation takes listeners on a breakbeat mission through sizzling electronics and emotive sub bass.

Alex Kassian’s Sphinx Gate Mix of Alien closes it out by slowing things down and transporting Alien into nostalgic territory with melodic arps and peak Haceinda-era breaks and bass. If you listen to his emotional remix carefully enough, you may hear a vocal response from Kim Ann’s partner Cora in its final fleeting moments.
