MarcelDune is an experimental electronic music artist based in London, UK.

Their music is created by combining modular synthesizers with analog & digital sounds in addition to field recordings (including various techniques and knowledge that have been gained from jazz studies and opera singing).

They mainly draw inspiration from street culture and the unique rawness it exhibits.

One other key element that manifests in MarcelDune’s music, is the underground culture, more specifically the people surrounding it and how they try to express their frustration, problems, and society’s oppression through music and dance.

Mython is a Berlin based Techno producer and DJ. His focus lies on the dark and heavy side of techno. Hypnotic patterns and hard hitting kick drums are at the core of his sound. His main goal is to capture the dirty and gritty underground vibes of Techno and push the sound towards the perfect symbiosis of melancholy and pure energy. In 2020 Mython founded ‘Out Rage Records’ to promote the sound he likes to play and hear. This week on the Ismcast we have Caniche.

Before having played in major cities like London, Vienna and Berlin, where she resides today, Caniche developed her penchant for hard but groovy Techno early on. From her very first set in 2018, Caniche’s unique style has always been characterized by combining Tribal Techno and Hardgroove with full-on Schranz. Mesmerizing old school percussion and drums constitute the main element of her mixes. 

While still in the process of developing her own sound as a producer, her recent tracks head in a similar direction, with a first release on Twice Infinity's sub label Groovecore United coming out in January 2023. 

As co-founder and resident of Vienna’s Female DJ Network - PUSH, Caniche fiercely fights for more visibility and equal treatment of FLINTA artists in the harder Techno scene. The network structure aims to connect and be a source of new approaches, mutual support, and inspiration for like minded DJs across Europe.
