This project unites artists from two labels, Chinese based bié Records and Latin America based Shika Shika, separated by very contrasting cultures and thousands of kilometers but united by shared values and a shared musical vision.

Driven by values of creativity, borderless music and fairness for artists, both labels showcase artists that unite electronica with ambient and folk music, purposefully existing outside of the globalized, copy-paste of the mainstream music industry.

A mix of intrigue and mutual respect led to the birth of this compilation, with the two labels teaming up to match together a group of their artists to remix each other. The result is a widely imaginative, fresh and diverse selection of tracks featuring some of the prominent producers such as DaYe, Lim Giong; Hualun, Sun Dawei and Rainsoft from bié records and DJ Raff, Terror:Cactus, Numa Gama, Barrio Lindo and El Búho from Shika Shika.

The compilation is a testament to music's power to transcend language and cultural background as artists from hugely different contexts unite to explore and build on each other's creative visions.

We’re excited to announce Mehmet Aslan as the fourth artist to remix Noema's recently released album, ONE. Mehmet Aslan’s remix is filled with rhythmic textures, playful melodies, and funky electro breakbeats. 

In a world of crate diggers, willfully eclectic selectors and micro-scene experts, few DJs and producers maintain the curiosity, bulletproof taste and unique identity of Mehmet Aslan. Born to Turkish immigrant parents and raised in Basel, Switzerland, a childhood absorbing Turkish music was only the beginning of an esoteric trip down a rabbit hole of fascinating, often unusual music, enrapturing dancefloors with his own record collection alongside his own, equally varied productions.

Noema's ONE is part of an interactive performance installation consisting of music, interactive choreography and stage design, theater, costumes and remixes. In this Gesamtkunstwerk, Noema, tells the story of his interdimensional space explorations, in which he manifests in four different entities. Because of the energetic state of humanity, these entities became trapped in our dimension and now put on performances to re-power their portal, so we can all be interdimensional again! During the performance five actors invite up to 120 people from the audience to join the action. Sun Ra meets Steve Reich meets Larry Levan - imagine it like a “happening” from the 70s.The performance was premiered as the closing act of Garbicz Festival 2022.

The music from One is loosely based on the minimal music classic „In C“ by Terry Riley and consists of 56 melodic patterns, which are repeated and consecutively played from the first to the last. Every player can move on to the next pattern at their own pace. The piece is about 45 minutes long without a break.

Our Way Through Processes is @arilumusic's first album after EP releases such as Lemuria and Era of Harmony and contains work from the last 4 years.

The album reflects a long journey through all the ups and downs, emotions, thoughts, all facets of the artist's life, but at the same time it contains a wide spectrum of healing frequencies and songs.

The intention of this album is to let the listener feel/experience their conscious/unconscious serving but also no longer serving emotions, with the aim of feeling or letting go of them in peace and harmony.

They can put you into a kind of trance or meditative state.

They touch us when we listen attentively to the sounds, experience them as a sound journey, e.g. for ecstatic dances, for quiet inner reflection or dream journeys etc.

We will release the 10 track album over the next 14 days, with the final release date being 25.05 on all music platforms.

Arilu - Inner Call

In 2016, I released my first ever beat tape called "InstruMENTAL." The fulfillment of crafting a body of work that I felt after sharing that project was surreal for me, and the urge to relive that experience has felt insatiable. For years, I've gone through failed attempt after failed attempt, projects get shelved or scrapped altogether, slowly losing the motivation and momentum I had built all those years ago. After a while, I started to feel like maybe recapturing that feeling just wasn't in the cards for me. That is, until this project. I present to you "Sounds of Overthought," my sophomore LP/beat tape, whatever you prefer to call it. This was not an easy process for me. From the mixing, to titling tracks, to sequencing the tracklist, adding new tracks, taking tracks out, switching intros and outros over and over again, even down to creating the cover art, this whole process has been full of overthinking, second guessing, and self-doubt, and this is the end result of making it through the other side. I hope you enjoy it.
