Arranged at the border of Dub and Progressive, this EP intones a relationship between the old and new like a chess game. Featuring a 3 tracker belonging to Greek mastermind: @mikaeldelta and label boss: @kirillmatveev with an undeniable timeless quality. This is for sure one of Mixcult’s finest crafted and most important releases up to date, bringing home an eternal classic and two new “gems to be” themes.

Side A brings one of the most expected releases ever for Mixcult Records. This unreleased anthem appeared as a mysterious track on Hernan Cattaneo’s “Sequential” compilation, back in 2006. The track “Baboo” in which Mikael Delta exteriorizes a florid, unidiomatic and over polite form of language through sounds comes out as a highlight of fine-crafted, ahead of time progressive house cut. The unfazed pads, slow drip loops and profound voices of this peace are just an exceptional and sophisticated soundscape.

Side B1 features Kirill Matveev’s “Citron” which can be the cherry on the sundae for a peaktime house display. The track includes experimented arpeggios with some tweeked out acid sounds that layer perfectly with his signature dubby basslines.

Side B2 has a very heartfelt and ethereal theme, which can result as the perfect ending. “Pegasus Himself” by Kirill Matveev looks for the memorability and becomes the perfect tool to finish a night with the proper melodies.

Woodwork welcomes the legendary Jay Tripwire to the roster. A highly prolific producer with a solid signature sound and impeccable work ethic. For this EP, Jay turns out a wide range of interpretive productions based on the concept of the global effects of steadily occurring polar shifts.

'Magnetosphere' rattles and shakes free a calming groovy bassline embraced by a hypnotic ambient chord drone. Chanting vocals and ritual drumming lead into a brief break where the elements are momentarily disoriented.

'Pole Reversal' is a subversive electro track that unfolds in much the same vein. Humanized beat box percussion introduces a steady rolling bass flow.

While a sweeping synth pad creates a soothing canopy over top. The occasional vocal hit chimes in with an abstract personal gesture.
'12000 Year Shift' has that classic sound that Jay Tripwire is known for. Smooth, deep, unwavering swells and stabs that circulate and layer in kaleidoscopic fashion. Classy, psychedelic, and soulful.

'Ritual Vibration of Ancient Stories' encapsulates the concept of the EP. It observes a cultural clash as disparate societies simultaneously experience world changing global events. The track follows a cinematic narrative but also remains highly playable as an abstract layer for the right kind of unusual moment.

'Solar Blast' again finds Jay Tripwire showcasing his taste and prowess for all things electro, breakbeat and sci fi. Minimal breaks and subconscious synth work are driven by a repetitive modulated bass line.
Bringing things full circle is 'Rotational Slowdown'. Sparse and minimal with a well worn bass pattern, trippy voices, deep pad drone, and a solid arrangement tailored for a late night deep set.

In the scope of the 6 tracks of this EP, Jay Tripwire is clearly practicing his own sonic Voodoo...some kind of ritual deep sorcery aligning his music to the shifting of Earth's magnetic poles through a transcendental state.

Bio: For a good decade now has been Gonzalo Urtizberea (a.k.a. Gurtz) incarnating his creative potential into diverse beeps, bleeps, twists and tweaks. Having evolved from a classically trained pianist to the world famous electronic music producer/dj.

In the recent years he rocked best dancefloors and festivals of Europe and Both Americas (Watergate/Berlin, Fuse/Brussels, Moog/Barcelona, Nouveau Casino/Paris, Toy Club/Stuttgart, Avalon/Los Angeles, Overground Festival/Geneva or Minitek Festival/NYC) and has been releasing his tracks on well-known labels, such as Eimaleins, Igloo, lesizmo:r, Unfoundsound, Dumb Unit, Lomidhigh and Telegraph, to name a few.

Creative and collaborative, he has remixed and been remixed by such techno stars as Dandy Jack, Ryan Crosson, Mark Henning, Seph, Dapayk, Ambivalent, Franco Cinelli, Agaric, etc, and his bright dj sets as well as his live performances have gained the artist passionate affection of numerous fans everywhere from his home land Argentina all the way to Eastern Europe.
