This song began when Sean, who is a superb writer of catchy pop songs, was inspired by the classic surfer movie, The Endless Summer. He wrote it on his acoustic guitar with a mind to sharing it with Eclectic Collective. He first shared it with Ken, who promptly provided driving drums and invited the rest of us to play on it, too. Josh hopped on first, adding his bass and completing the rhythm section.
  About this time, Tez got involved, laying down the Ventures-esque melodic electric guitar you hear throughout. Right after Tez did his thing, Stephen came along soon after and completed the lead part with his fuzzy, adventurous guitar. 
  At this point, it still felt very stringy, so Josh decided to lay down the organ part you hear in there, too. Once it was cooked, we tapped Stephen to do his expert brand of production, mix, and mastering to get it ready to serve. 
  This is the second time Ken and Josh have collaborated with Sean, the first being almost two years ago on a song called Diamond Marigold. When Sean approached Ken with a second song, not only Ken was thrilled, but Josh and the rest of the gang were, too. Sean has a lot of great, catchy, accessible music on his page that is all worth putting in your ears.
  We dedicate this song to Artur of Surfers Like Us. Although he didn't play on this one, he spirit lives inside of all of our music, especially the surfer kind. We hope you enjoy listening to this as much as we enjoyed creating it.

This song began with Stephen, who recorded it on his acoustic guitar and bass to a programmed drum track a few months ago. We were all thrilled to work on it, even though it sat in BandLab as a project for almost a month before Stephen separated the tracks, thus allowing us to trickle in our parts. JJ was first to jump on it, because he could before the tracks were separated, as his part is completely his idea. He added the organ that really set up the entire sound of both dominant sections of the song. 
  Ken was first up to the project once the tracks were replaceable, making the wild, driving beat his own. Inspired by both JPJ and Michael Ivins, Josh laid down his bass line, trying to match Ken's energy. Last, but not least, Mark jumped in with the rumbling timpani. He also added the flavorful harmonica, and unique jaw harp you hear throughout, as well. Finally, Stephen also got the idea to add the hambone percussion at the very end of the song, which we all consider a treat, and after showing us how it's done, Mark volunteered his percussion skills to give it a go. Stephen wasn't done, though, and still had some magic to sprinkle. He went in and added the howling electric guitar you hear prominently in the second main section. Also, he added the tempting intro with his acoustic guitar and electric mandolin. 
  Once it was in the bag, we thought it appropriate for our master mixer Stephen to put it to bed, which he did in his always expert manner. 
  This is a gift from Stephen to all of us, and you, too. It took a lot of teamwork to make the dream work, as always for Eclectic Collective. We hope you enjoy listening to this as much as we enjoyed creating it.

This song began on the last day of the cold January of this year, when Ken sat down at his piano and recorded an improvisational jam. This is the first song Eclectic Collective has done where Ken started it with a piano, so we were all very excited to work on it. 
  Josh was the first one to add a part, adding his fretless bass guitar, and going back and forth with Ken, while he added the drums to match the groove up right. Josh also added the mandolin after the guitars were laid down, as well as the descending synth blasts you hear throughout. Before all that, though, Stephen recorded the first 2 thirds of the thrilling guitar you hear in there. After Stephen had his part down, Tez came along and finished the guitar work in the latter sections (from the 'windy' section to the end). Last, but certainly not least, Mark added the amazing symphonic elements, specifically the horns and flute melody. He also added the cold January wind sound, created using his breath and some tinkling bells. 
  Once it was all wrapped up, we asked Stephen to put a bow on it with his expert production, which he came through with, as always.
  As mentioned, this is an extraordinary offering from EC, staring Ken not only on drums, but on the keys, as well. It felt like we were jamming all together in the same room, and hope it comes across that way. We hope you enjoy listening to this as much as we enjoyed creating it.

This work was supported by many people in the winter of 2019. The listeners were mainly in various area of the United States. I am very grateful for that. I decided * WINTER 2019/2020 * for this work. I wish you a good Christmas and a good year.

This classic Beatles song is designed to raise the key by a semitone at the stage of the guitar interlude. Some people do not realize that it has been changed the key because it is so natural. I think it's a really attractive and mysterious melody. I developed it and experimented with this recording to see what would happen if I continued to raise the performance of the song by a semitone for each theme. For those who are practicing the guitar, I think it can be used as a basic lesson to aim at playing in any key, whether it is chord stroke practice or melody line practice. 
However,  I know that some people who are practicing guitar can only play the same melody line with different pitches, because the chords are different. If the songs are different, other instruments will perform quite differently. Therefore, even if your performance while practicing guitar is always doing almost the same thing, it is often the case that the listener hears it playing a different performance. What is unfortunate is the fact that you can't grow at all during that time. The problem is that you stay there for years. If you later realize that you were wasting a terrible time, you can't get it back.It's a serious wall for beginners to overcome. Even if you are a skilled top professional guitar player, if you don't pay attention to your condition, it is said that you will be playing only the usual phrases. It is the same that we should always be aware of.If you can't get out of the symptom that the melody you play is almost the same, even if you use different titles for each recording, you first need to realize that you are always playing almost the same phrase.
Such people terribly often don't know or ignore the difference between the Western scale and the Blue note scale. For example, if you add an E-flat sound to the C major scale or A minor scale, and you think it is a blue note scale, it won't cause a catastrophic failure if you are a keyboard player. However, if you are a guitar player, it will be fatal.They are even suspicious of whether they have found a usable scale from the chord progression and are starting to play.Often they do not seem to be fulfilling the important mission of matching rhythm and melody.What's more, it's impossible for a sensitive listener to allow someone to pretend to be a blues player while making a sound unrelated to the blue note scale.To make matters worse, such people do not even master the Western scale enough,many good listeners will gradually move away from the artists who release or spread the works that cannot be called works. We will need to be very careful about that.You may struggle and find someone to pass on responsibility. But that attempt will fail. We all pay laziness and self-satisfaction by ourselves.
Alternatively, some beginners can imitate the performance of a great guitar player, but cannot freely improvise. In general, it is until the early teens that a boy or a girl who is crazy about guitar playing is expected to see the future from the audience by imitating the performance of a genius guitar player.As is well known, copying and covering are completely different acts.That is also a serious wall. In order to overcome this, there is no choice but to accumulate a lot of issues from basics to applications over a long period of time. I would like the recordings shown here to be used as the first step before getting into there in earnest.
