i wrote this song when i was 17/18 i only just got around to formally recording it just now cuz its been stuck in my head lately. i originally wrote this in the empty living room of my childhood house the day before we sold it. we had already moved to baltimore like a year or two earlier but like millions of factors delayed the sale of the house, and so when i would take trips over to oregon in the interim years i would post up in the shed in the backyard for months on end and have bad mushroom trips and smoke too much weed and not eat enough food and drink disgusting whipped cream flavored vodka in the cemetery near my best friends house. but all that is beside the point. when i found out we were fr selling the place i got incredibly sad like SUICIDAL and i felt like i needed to make a send off to the ol' abode, so with a gee-tar on loan from my friend kiki i wrote this really fast. i have a recording of when i wrote it somewhere DEEP DEEP DEEP in my google drive but all my voice memos are named "voice memo 122" or something like that so it would take me too too long to find it. the lyrics r as i remember them, which may not be how they were written but i thnk they retain that melodramatic teenage misery quite welllll and they make me cringe at times so they have to be close at least.
