What if your life all over sudden was reduced to a motel room with someone you care for but who are more interested in the drugs you have brought to celebrate new year! Not because you really wanted to be there, but because you have nowhere else to go, and the ball dropping on TV is the only toast you will experience that night. 

The constant arguments, the ongoing game of is right and who is wrong in everything and the circle that can't be broken nomatter what you say. The melancholic feeling of knowing somewhere deep inside that this won't go away nomatter what you say, you're only going to make it worse and you're a morron for trying to salve a problem that can't be fixed. 

Life takes ugly turns, and sometimes the company you're with doesn't really help out either, so whatever you do, it will still be the same in the end.

So this is a track dedicated to those who wanted life to be smooth and easy but ended up on the wrong side of the tracks!

Hello… thanks for dropping by. This song is a loud, electric-slide song. It has overdriven slide, some homemade (learning how to:no drum kit) percussion, a vocal harmony and gravely vocals. I am happy I am able to do this at all, at 68 years of age… especially singing, which greatly wanes with age. (I really just started to sing within the last decade or so.) Traveling On… may be seen as a metaphor, or not, it doesn’t really matter. It might signify personal change or a movement toward and/or away from something. There is a hint of recognition, insofar as the unwavering essence of who we are… There is a suggestion of working toward peace. Again, this could be seen as metaphorical, in a sense of personal introspection. What do we espouse, condone and accept in this life for ourselves and society? Do you want to ‘Travel On’? Both the Song and me appreciate your time and love ♾️ If art is conscious in a universal sense as it's doing its job of inspiring love, then that appreciation from the piece itself doesn't have to seem misplaced...

It's great to make art... But the sharing bit can truly last and maybe it can actually transcend the artist as an energetic entity. Maybe all art is that after it's created ♾️ (unless souless ai made it)

Man this feels good. It's like I'm handing a big chuck of myself over and its a good chunck of good in my head.

I pledge to write this song until I die and hopefully that means me making lots and lots of versions of this over the coming decades. It has to be rewritten because this song needs to reflect my reality and that always changes. When the time is right I'll pass it on to another human who I feel will be worthy enough to keep it going for another lifetime.

I wrote this song originally 23 years ago on a two octave Casio keyboard. It was so cheesily amazing. However the beat cheese was 155bpm of high tempo rhythm so when I went to write the lyrics I slowed the gait to try and say what I wanted to say and not sound like a chipmonk.

So today we go back to that gait and we do it without like sounding like a chipmonk and with new relevance for what I see in reality.
This is the result of the first wave of recompiling the idea again from scratch. I'll hone it now...

The Underclass Academy is multi-artist Hans Gustavsson's way of describing his own and others' existence in text and tones. After striving for most of his adult life not to feel alienated, 

Hans turned his perspective and instead embraced what had previously been an enemy and adversary in existence. As a result, his texts are not infrequently written from a socially critical perspective and with a focus on the tribulations and failures of the little person. 

But also those who steal, exploit and rule only for the purpose of self-improvement without any consideration of what kind of impact it leaves on others in their vicinity. As a musician, he continues to create a mixture of singersongwriter/rock with a variety of influences seasoned with impressions and different perspectives. 

Over the years, Hans Gustavsson has appeared on several published recordings, both as a band member and also as a solo artist. Other expressions are jewelry art in the form of rings and other things made of metal wire of various sizes and types that are joined according to the traditions and crafts of the "travelling people".
