Joseph Tagliabue is a sound engineer, selector and music producer based in Milan, Italy. He is currently a leading figure in the alternative cultural Italian scene. His meticulous musical research reflects an eclectic style characterized by an Italian attitude which is the expression of the love for his land and its traditions. Tracing a music-temporal path that comes from folk sounds mixed with contemporary electronic and experimental techniques. He takes inspiration from the environment that surrounds him and breaks down the boundaries between the genres, blending its musical influences and reinterpreting its origins with a propensity towards the future. He offers refined, evocative and always different emotional performances, tailor-made to the audience without ever abandoning his own music identity.

'The beginning of the musical path of Karolina Bnv as the kid of the 90s sounds like a good old story - playing drums in a rock band in Novosibirsk at school, starting to collect vinyl as a teenager, moving to the UK to get her degree, buying her first Technics turntables in London, first gigs in local clubs and organizing series of super popular HUMBUG parties etc.'

Now living in Moscow she is a welcome quest at many parties playing a wide range of styles from house and italo to EBM and electro. She will soon release her debut EP on Wrong Era. The mix is vinyl-only + a sneak peek of her upcoming release. Enjoy!

Who are you?
We are Stavros and Constantinos. We make music together under two aliases; “Stevie R & Parisinos”, and “After Altamont”. We also run an experimental record label based in London, Inside Out Records. 

How did you discover this track?
Rakesh Chaurasia is an Indian flautist, who plays the bansuri, an Indian bamboo flute. We were amazed by a live performance he released on YouTube and decided to edit it. 

Why did you choose to edit it?
We love incorporating old musical elements with electronic music. It is at the heart of what we do both as Stevie R & Parisinos, as well as After Altamont - predominantly however with Greek folk instruments. We saw this as an opportunity to explore another culture and sound.

What are you next plans?
We are preparing a live set, and have many releases planned over the next year. As always, we are looking for new talent to try as best we can to help and support them through our label too.

Spanish artist James Rod joins Roam Recordings with two original mid tempo driving psychedelic offerings. The title track Baila con Satan features a warped vocal backed by an energetic swirl of electronic mischief. Metatrone goes deeper with hypnotic trance inducing arpeggios and moving synth work. Duncan Gray returns to Roam with two remixes - one for each original. Duncan's take on Baila con Satan keeps the psychedelic vibe of the ep but put it into more chill territory with live bass and guitar echoing about the ether. By contrast, Duncan Gray's remix of Metatrone picks up the tempo and brings the acid.

Magic Words, a new project from NY-based producers Eli Cohen and Peter Hargarten, make their debut on RNT with the Wabi Soba EP, a perfect summertime record. If the title track sounds a bit familiar it’s because it’s been in Harvey’s hands for a while and has made many appearances in his sets around the world.
Based around an emotive and dreamy loop, the song basically embodies Balearica, dripping with Spanish guitar and wistful, melancholic harmonies. Toronto’s Jex Opolis turns in a massive remix that preserves all the delicate texture of the original and lays it lovingly over a pulsing clubby drum foundation. Already getting a huge response in the RNT crew’s club sets, this is a special record that’s got some serious summer anthem buzz!

El lanzamiento en vinilo limitado fue posible gracias al sello holandés 339 Records y saldrá como un maxi single que incluye solo No FTR Original y Franz Scala's Remix.

Sobre el EP:

No FTR es la abreviatura de No Future: Daniel Monaco quiere representar un viaje a un lugar oscuro, tal vez perdido en el espacio, tal vez condenado a un universo paralelo, las, baterías a veces se mezclan con sonidos metálicos y melodías que sugieren sentimientos de esperanza y desesperación, todo ello secuenciando los bajos de sintetizador que se entrelazan con líneas de bajo interpretadas en vivo, tratando de crear ritmos de rodadura embarrados pero nítidos. Se hizo una exageración intencional en el arreglo para recordar la plenitud en el sonido típico de algunas pistas italianas de la vieja escuela que le gustan a Daniel Monaco.
