Two veterans of the Spanish levantine scene join forces to recreate the sounds of the late '80s and early '90s on this special EP. The remixes of Man2.0 -in a wild rave version- and of Parissior (@parissior)-approaching it to an acid breakbeat- do not disappoint.

Sinchi Collective member Hary Shanthi serves up his second release on the not for profit Sinchi label with remixes from MR TC and Tushen Raï.

Hary Shanthi is a deeply earnest sound designer and a lifelong student who experiments with technology and believes in the "Management of Varied Frequencies." With this new release, he serves up an ode to his Indian culture that provides a glimpse into "the non-dualistic nature" of Kashmir Shaivism, a philosophical system that emerged in India around the 12th Century.

The fantastic 'Urumi' is his reconstruction of his first encounter with a monistic Shaiva saint and the transcendental percussive journey that followed. It is a truly magical nine-minute trip that layers up broken beats and drawn-out synth leads into a hypnotic electronic landscape. Breakdowns come alive with exotic percussion and subtle acid sounds while the bold bass never lets up to make for what will be an indelible dance floor impact.

First to remix is Glasgow's MR TC, who heads up Phase Group Records and has released on Optimo Music, while playing cult favourites like Panorama Bar and Dekmantel Selectors. His melon-twisting version is loose and freaky with scattered hand drums and eerily atmospheric grooves designed to keep dancers in a state of trance.

Hard Fist co-founder Tushen Raï is a notorious collector who plays everything from Turkish psychedelics to Romanian cold wave and tribal techno. His cross-cultural sounds come to the fore on his Anti War Mix, which is chugging, psyched-out tribal disco for smoky backrooms that like to get weird. The Dub he offers up is a cavernous one with plenty of cosmic FX, twisted leads and crisp drum patterns.

This is a cultured package of deeply moving sounds from Sinchi, with all sales donated to the Sinchi Foundation that supports indigenous peoples worldwide.

'For more than thirty years, Ruud Lekx has been corrupting hearts and minds with his unmistakable brand of synthesizer music. Under his Rude 66 mask, this titan of electronics returns to Bordello A Parigi with twelve darkened tracks for Conditioning Consciousness. Tempos glide low in the opening incantations. From the breathy murmurings of “Magick Angels’ Invocations”, the listener is brought into Rude’s world. Shauna Lekx’s signature vocoder lyrics and blackened subject matter are central tenets, as are hauntingly delicate melodies. “The Riddler In Me” is a deep psychological journey through cable and circuit, an unsettling monologue accompanied by liquid analogue lines. BPMs are allowed to rise for the shimmering warmth of “In Exile” and in the reverb soaked “The Chariot.” But these are the outliers. Across the collection, percussion drives without ever being a central force. Instead, the focus is the bewitching and brooding compositions. Take the drugged low slung groove of “The Talisman of Algol” or the loose modulations of “Le Sagittaire”, here the listener is brought into the heart of the machines and the musician. The curtain close, “The Five Swords Of Venus In Aquarius” gathers a spread of influences, bringing them together into one piece. Synth. Soundtrack. Strings. All culminate in this superb climax, a climax to an album that broaches the boundaries between terrifying and terrific.'

Rude 66 - The Riddler In Me

Sinchi Music's always-interesting Altered States series hits volume number 10 and again curates a wide range of exciting talents from across the globe with music from Brazil, Mexico, the US, Germany, Lithuania and Bali.

Encanto is a pseudonym of the versatile Leonardo Ferreira, a Brazilian artist who embraces the nomadic life and turns it into a rich artistic expression. He has played all over South America and mixes up house and techno with samples and sounds from the 80s and 90s on the likes of U're Guay Records and Cutting Corners. His electro gem 'Esquiva' is a mystic blend of warped synths and ice-cold broken beats that reverberate with cosmic darkness.

Bruce Wine focuses on the dark and enigmatic side of industrial techno, wave and disco and is one-half of a live act with the acclaimed Ninasonik. He once again transports listeners to unknown and fascinating soundscapes on his excellent 'Olmeca Dream', a stark mix of arresting synth drones and menacing bass with plenty of eerie open space.

Lukas Feser is a DJ wizard who has branched out to production with great success after playing records for over a decade. He dives into psychedelic realms, tribal rhythms and ancient chants on 'Amahoro,' a steamy deep techno sound that snakes its way through jungle undergrowth amongst many paranoid voices.

Bali-based BRDN is known for a dark signature sound that explores shady disco, EBM, trance and electro as perfectly exemplified by 'Disco Jedi' with its twitchy and glitchy drums and laser-like synths. There is a sense of intergalactic warfare to this techno stomper that will light up any darkened back room.

Munich-based Alemao returns to Sinchi ahead of outings on the likes of Mélopée, Epicure and Weirdos Records. His superb 'Voyager' is a slow-burning but high-impact deep techno-disco trip with widescreen pads and a forlorn sense of melancholy that lingers in the well-crafted synths.

American TDWS is powered by a passion for EBM, retro vibes, and the electrifying pulse of HI-NRG. On the fantastic 'Chameleon' the producer mixes up nostalgia with innovation and pushes the boundaries as he programs bright Italo arps over thudding post-punk drums. There is a celestial feel to the keys of this most bittersweet sound.
