Hard Fist 16th release is on the way and is all about fusion of man and machine, connecting traditional singing to the electronic music dance floor attitude. Signed by prolific composer Omri Smadar, the digital EP also includes remixes by French producer Yuksek and Jordanian musician Shadi Khries. 

Based in Tel Aviv, Omri Smadar’s life is all about composing and connecting, playing and performing, studying and story-telling. From deep history and complex theory to the dark art of dot joining, the academically trained composer and pianist is neck deep in all aspects of the culture and artform. He worked with Correspondant, Tel Aviv’s Blue Shadow and collaborated with well-known musicians such as Siam and Fortis, and to extensive remixes, edits and remoulds of influential Israeli music, such as debut album ‘Collage’ [Nana Disc 2020] 

Phase of Motion EP surrounds the idea of fusing organic-traditional human singing and playing with the electronic music dancefloor attitude. Omri’s work is known for interweaving organic, synthetic and analog. This EP is a perfect example, with its heady vocals and chants going hand in hand with percussion and machine sounds. 
Omri places great importance on the common experience the sharing of music creates. That’s why he produced “Phase of Motion” with some of his close friends: Nenor, Roy Shpilman, Shlomo Gronich and Yogev Haruvi.

Adama (written with Shlomo Gronich and produced with Roy Shpilman) samples the "Sheba Band" - an Israeli-Ethiopian children choir from the early 90's.

Creative offspring of Tushen Raï and Cornelius Doctor's musical fantasies, Hard Fist has been a non-profit project encompassing producers, graphic designers, djs and dreamy party worshippers since its inception in 2017.

“We would never have thought that this collective story would bring us this far, that it would take such a place in our lives and that it would bring us so many beautiful encounters. It was only possible to celebrate our 5th anniversary with the unreasonable idea of making something out of the ordinary. 
So we thought big, a digger's dream: a double vinyl in limited edition with 20 artists from 17 countries gathered around exceptional collaborations: producers who have marked the history of the label these last 5 years, friends, but also peers, people who inspired us and gave us the desire to create Hard Fist.
In this Unidentified Noisy Object (U.N.O), you can expect borderless music flirting with Nu-Rave and No Wave, Cosmic Dub and Post-Punk, a slice of Psychedelic Electronica, a lot of Acid and a bit of Slow Goa Trance.  As well as some beats of Krautrock played with an Afrobeat groove and a few Darkwave's synths. But not only that. It's never only that. But what is it then? Just a label without label, to dance and to explore.”

Gregor Tresher and Cocoon are linked by a long-time relationship which starts all the way back in 2004, when Sven Väth played Gregor's productions in heavy rotation. "Neon", "Full Range Madness", "The Now People" or "Still", just to name a few, can be considered as Techno classics of the Noughties. Almost ten years later, Gregor has established his position and is one of Germany's top notch techno producers. With "About A Good Place", he delivers his long overdue EP debut for Cocoon Recordings. He plays his favourite game straight to the point, with massive analogue synth lines, fat kick drums and hi hats that force you to move: This is adrenaline for the big floors on this planet, those with the real fat PAs!

The title tune "About A Good Place" is one of Sven's secret weapons in his recent sets and breathes Tresher-air XXL! It's all about that crazy, detuned synth line that grows bigger and bigger and results in pure harmony at the great breakdown in the middle of the track. The massive kick drum adds what you need to let the sun shine and wave your hands up in the air!
"Lifecycles" follows that vibe, but digs a bit deeper and adds more sensitivity to Tresher's Techno formula, with all the elements that we already know from "About A Good Place". Crazy arpeggio lines, filter moves and the mandatory dark bass line: hypnotic techno with no chance to escape!
Last but not least, there is "The Sun Sequencer" – the dignified answer to the preliminary techno bangers. More relaxed, with slight touches of House and Trance, "The Sun Sequencer" should be the right choice for fans of Chymera and Slam. Imagine the rising sun at an open air festival site or use this as your first tune for the next after hour – this is the sound of the summer of 2012.

Stockholm’s Tom Tom Disco offer up their first vinyl release and continue to shine with a dazzling new package from Tushen Raï & Cornelius Doctor with remixes from Jonathan Kusuma, Roe Deers, Uninc & Kolomensky and Leonor. From middle eastern psychedelia to Romanian cold wave, tribal EBM or slow industrial techno, Tushen Raï & Cornelius Doctor have a brilliantly diverse sound and open musical minds. They play everywhere from Berlin basements to Palestinian clubs via Peruvian jungles and are newly installed resident at Paris’s Rex club. Their musical adventures continue in real style here. Opener ‘Nana’ is a tropical disco groover, with slow drums but colourful samples and effects that make it feel alive and organic with mind melting leads that take you on a trip. Jonathan Kusuma is a leader of the underground music scene in Jakarta, Indonesia and signed to I’M A CLICHÉ, Love Is On The Rock and Optimo music. His rugged remix is built on dirty bass rumbles with stark hits driving it along late into the night. Tushen Raï & Cornelius Doctor then offer ‘Spell On You’, a brilliantly unhinged track with wonky grooves and bass, popping melodies and colourful pads that with light up any set. This one gets remixes by Roe Deer, a key name on the scene who hails from Latvian and here layers in freaky spoken words, chops up the beats and ups the playfulness to make for a superb weird disco cut. Two digital bonus tracks include a remix from Russian duo and ИДА label bosses Uninc & Kolomensky plus Leonor, a Mexican artist living in France and close friend of Tushen Raï & Cornelius Doctor, and both take the original in dark and absorbing new directions. This is a wildly diverse and standout package of inventive club sounds from all involved.
