Code 2-DJs Barbara and Andy, have already made a big impact on the label with tough trancers 'Ur Gonna Want Me' and 'Past Memories'. They are back this time employing the ever-rising and angelic voice of Jodie Poye. A vocalist who has already had countless releases on John O'Callaghan's Subculture, and worked with the likes of Craig Connelly, Technikal and Lisa Louder. 'XTC' screams 90s rave nostalgia with it's rising pads, and instantly infectious chorus. Hard Trance? Perhaps not, but since when have we ever followed the Rules anyway at HTE? Probably the catchiest vocal we've heard in a long time, we just had to adopt this summer time uplifter for our red divison. Welcome back Code 2, and a warm welcome to Jodie Poye!

I'm building an archive of all my favorite tracks. Especially honoring and showcasing the forgotten gems produced by my favorite artists!

BIO:
I started listening to hard dance music in 1999, at the age of 12, the year I went to high school. My taste was pretty random in those early days. But soon the Bitte Ein Beat series would change all that. After purchasing vol.2 and listening it over and over, I knew I had found a new passion in life!

Back then, the term hardstyle wasn't even conceived. We called it hardhouse at first, but that actually never felt right. Luckily someone, somewhere, came up with the name for this new sound: HARDSTYLE! And it felt right immediately.
