He was born in Mexico City and graduated in composition from the Faculty of Music of the UNAM. There he studied with Leonardo Coral, Francisco Cortés, María Granillo and Cristina García Islas. In 2020 he entered the program “Cátedra Extraordinaria de Composición Musical” at the Faculty of Music of the UNAM, where he studied with Arturo Márquez. He is currently a student of the Master in Composition at the Mozarteum University of Salzburg in the class of Johannes Maria Staud.  

His training has also included master classes and courses with composers Michael Jarrell, Julio Estrada, Víctor Ibarra, Augusta Read Thomas, Pierreluigi Billone, Frederic Dureux, Francesco Filidei, Eva Reiter, Yann Robin, Sarah Nemtsov and Henry Fourés. 

 

He has received several commissions and premieres from important ensembles and institutions, such as the Orquesta Juvenil Universitaria Eduardo Mata, the Orquesta de Cámara de Bellas Artes and the Ensamble Sexteto Místico. Among the ensembles with which he has worked are Ensemble Multilatetalé (FR), Ensemble Fractales (BEL), Ensemble Garage (DE), Ensemble Recherche (DE) and the Cuarteto Latinoamericano (MX).
