At the beginning of October, three members of Harmony Rec. travelled across Colombia for a few weeks. During their journey, Shoal, Yan and Aflred were invited to experience and play at one of the @matteriacollective parties that was held in the middle of Colombian jungle.

Here's a two-hours-long extract of the closing set played by @fred-czital & @yanmmxiv, defining all kinds of morning vibes we like.

Rocío Portillo is an electronic music producer, DJ, and singer. She is also a brave, grateful, and conscious woman. Her full-time passion for music came after overcoming cancer, which made her hold on to life.

At 25, she obtained a degree in Social Communication and since then, she has worked in prominent media outlets in Mendoza. In 2024, after battling leukemia for five years and focusing on her recovery, she gave up her career as a journalist to dedicate herself solely to music for a while.

During the summer, a tour took her to the main electronic music stages across Argentina: Rosario, Buenos Aires, Bariloche, Córdoba, and Mar del Plata. Before that, with the help of an agent and her own promotion, she planned her first European tour, performing in cities across Spain, Italy, Germany, and France.

With an elegant and sober style, Rocío steadily advances as a leading female figure in electronic music. She proudly says she is part of the line-up of festivals where her own role models also perform: among others, Hernán Cattaneo, Nick Warren, Sasha or John Digweed.

Her mother’s encouragement, which led her to take singing, dance, theater, and piano lessons, along with the support of her father, a choir director, invited her to explore the possibilities of art and the diversity of music. In her performances, she combines original pieces with hybrid sets where she includes her own voice.

@kondukukonduku (real name Ruben Üvez) may have been born and raised in the Netherlands, but a small part of his heart will always be in Kıran, a picturesque hill in Avanos in the Cappadocia in Turkey. It is there that you’ll find his ancestral family home and, more poignantly, the grave of his father, who helped spark the 26 year-old DJ/producer’s love of music. Konduku’s love of Kıran is so strong, in fact, that he named his debut album after it.

That album, released by acclaimed Dutch label Nous’klaer in the spring of 2018, not only announced Üvez as a major musical talent, but also delivered a percussive and atmospheric distillation of the newcomer’s artistic influences. There’s the love of Turkish percussion, jazz time signatures and polyrhythms inherited from his Ankara-born musician father, his mother’s time spent as a Balkan folklore dancer, and the picturesque natural beauty of Kıran itself, captured not only in the album’s drifting chords and gentle melodies, but also the hundreds of images that Üvez has taken as part of days spent indulging his passion for photography (he completed a Masters degree in the art form). Like many artists, the producer tries to find beauty in any situation and accept the World as it is.

The album’s clear dancefloor credentials and rhythmic pulse can be traced back to his roots as a teenage bedroom DJ. Then, as now, he was inspired not by what was going on around him in Groningen and other Dutch cities, but the sub-bass-heavy, rhythmic swing of British electronic music. Üvez prioritizes groove in both his Konduku productions and DJ sets, currently drawing inspiration from a wide variety of contemporary artists and imprints, including maverick, Bristol-based post-techno labels such as Timedance and Livity Sound.

The exploration of rhythm and groove is arguably the distinctive feature of Üvez’s current DJ sets. His style is percussive and high energy, offering a blend of “quick mixes” – long the dominant DJ style in British bass music – and long, drawn-out and layered blends that ratchet up the hypnotism and create alluring new hybrids. Alongside his British influences, you’ll also hear intoxicating dub techno, mid-2000s Italian techno, locked-in Eastern European minimalism and classic, turn-of-the-century tech-house, when the expression of Detroit’s futurist influence was at its height. This musical mixture, coupled with Konduku’s obsession with drums, combines to create sets that not only inspire dancers but also live long in the memory.

We're super happy to have our good friend Svarog back on Revelation Session Series with the stunning mix.  Svarog is one of the Ukrainian mythology gods, the god of metal, the forge operator, the god of fire. This is the artistic name of Oleksa Moroz, musician and dj from Lviv, Ukraine.

He starts his career in 2015, releasing an Ep in the cult label Circular Limited, showcasing the best deep and profound sounds of techno, where textures and ambiances equal the power of the beat. 

Soon after he releases in the german label Nachstrom Schallplatten, Affin Ltd. y Black String Records as well as in Mexican label Illegal Alien, Animal farm or Pole groups’ own Aine.

His sound is personal and unique, always focusing in dark but evocative textures, combining saturated timbres, industrial sound and atmospheric  landscapes, even broken rhythms. 

Shades of ambient, mysticism, and real techno are the elements that characterize all his output.

Modern and futuristic sounds, far from trendiness and simplicity, from the soul to all intelligent dancefloors out there.

Since 2014, we organise site-specific, audiovisual events that are morphed by our hand into zones of sparkling joy and sonic enchantment.

We are passionately distributing vibration both on the dance floor and while pressing music on records, however, what we appreciate the most is the community that gathered around us over time. Without our friends and cooperating artists, it would be rather difficult to identify any spirit of the organisation.
