The idea to write this piece came to me whilst I was sitting on the plane, en route to a Hawai'i. The in-flight entertainment offered a few albums to listen to, to pass the time. I came across "Hypnotised" on Coldplay's EP Kaleidoscope. The high-pitched, piano arpeggio played throughout the track got stuck in my head until we landed, as the low-frequency notes were droned out by the incessant rumbling of the plane. This short piece describes the anticipation (and excitement) that I had before my holiday!
