"Rauhnacht" are the 12 nights starting from Christmas till the 6th of January, in the Alps, we use smudging herbs and raisins to clear the rooms in the house and the stables for the animals, as a preparation for the new year to come, it´s a sacred and ancient tradition, the veil between the worlds are very thin and where ancestors and spirits may be contacted and asked for visions and guidens for the coming year.
