The music played loudly, it echoed and reverberated through his body, pulsating and wild.

He began to dance, moving softly yet quickly through the crowd. Others watched with intrigue as he unleashed a flurry of shapes and waved his arms frantically in time with the sound of the drums which banged on and on and on.

Lights flashed, he was lost in the smoke.

The foundations for Clergy were first built in Manchester in the spring of 2015 with the release of Cleric’s ‘Codes Of Chaos’ EP. It marked the dawn of a new day for the UK techno doyen - whose stock as a DJ and producer was already soaring, but whose inimitable prowess for A&R was still yet to be recognised. Ten years, 40 releases and countless performances across the globe later, Cleric’s stock in the industry is now priceless.

Ten VA’s are already in motion, to celebrate the 10 Years Of Clergy this year, and the second instalment titled ‘Beta’ has another 5 original tracks, closing off with a remix from Cleric, for a track from the labels extensive catalogue over the years.

“I like to give unknown artists a chance to rub shoulders with big names on our releases, not pre-judging their music based on the size of their profile. I scouted Stef and gave him his first release, and then followed to give advice over career choices. Something I’m proud to do with a lot of artists I work with” - Cleric

Premiere: Stef Mendesidis — Hydra [CRGX2]

Chontane returns with Set A Dot, the third release on his label, TANE. Offering a four-track statement of pure rhythmic intensity and intricate groove construction. Known for his precision-driven approach to techno, Chontane continues to refine his sound, fusing raw percussive elements, hypnotic basslines, and evolving sonic textures into club-ready weapons that move both the mind and body..
 
From the outset, Magallanes asserts itself with rolling drum patterns and pulsating synths, locking listeners into its hypnotic rhythm. Hypnotic synth pulses weave through the track, building tension gradually until it breaks into a dense, rhythmic crescendo.
 
Next up, Turn the Tables lives up to its name, amplifying the energy with snapping hi-hats, deep bass momentum, and restrained synth modulations. A functional yet immersive trip through layered percussive textures.
 
The B-side offers a deeper, more atmospheric twist. Cycle Break channels a groove- heavy, tribal-infused flow, using intricate rhythmic interplay and distant, metallic textures to create a track that breathes and expands across the mix.
Rounding out the release, Set A Dot leans into pure forward motion, with skittering percussion, sharp synths, and a rolling low-end pulse, making it a go-to tool for seamless DJ layering and extended club sets.

This track carries the energy of a belief I’ve held onto since second grade –
that one day I would be a DJ and live my dream, if I just kept believing in it.

No matter what happened, or how far away that dream seemed at times, I never let it go.
"Never Stop Believing" expresses the steady, forward-driving force of hope,
a few grams of the weight the journey has brought with it –
but above all, the determination and unshakable belief that it will work out.

The vocal I recorded in my own voice, because this track tells my story.
