Premiere: Lindsey Herbert - Exoplanet [Immaterial.Archives]

Half a year after SAMA’s debut release on his newly opened imprint,
Maximalist_Minimalist is back with the follow-up, again accompanied by an awe-inspiring artwork by Argentinian Ric Santesteban.
Where the first EP marked a new era, with the opening of his label and a change in his sound, the second EP will further cement the fact that SAMA takes this new venture very seriously. MXMN002 once again features 4 tracks from the man himself, starting off with his personal favourite, “End All”. End All consists of an eerie, urgent sound, conveying a feeling as if being chased. Gritty shakers and a hard kick drive the track forward, while psychotic synth-stabs and bell-like sounds keep you on your toes.
Kill The Heat is the second track on the EP, and is a bit more functional and repetitive than its predecessor, although also accompanied by a dark arpeggiated synth, ever-so-slightly morphing and modulating.
Forced To Revolt starts off the B-side of the EP. This track puts a big focus on synths and atmospherics, all interweaving and constantly changing, panning and filtering. This track is the most mental and intense track on the EP. Lastly, Tripping Over Wires is a more fun cut, quite groovy and driving, accompanied by a “tripping” and interesting melody line, hence the name of the track.

„You Are” features a fusion of Rabe’s voice as well as her profound and touching sound design, mixed with Lidvall’s intense and cyclical structures giving the piece a contemporary and vigorous enchantment. Putting the listener under a spell and carrying them into a subliminal space. „Second Face” pushes right through with its hypnotic unrelenting composition. Followed by „Fused Identities” which takes you to to new higher ground, letting you take a breath and a break for the first time, an unexpected turn on this journey which then settles with „Ordinary Demeanor” and its rooted and vast harmonious soundscapes bring the listener backdown to earth.

Denise Rabe & Lidvall - You Are [Rabe]

Oliver Deutschmann's latest industrial techno release, "Kill All Autocrats" was released on Consumed Music and has been receiving rave reviews from critics and fans alike.
The German producer has been a staple in the techno scene for over a decade, and this release showcases his ability to blend elements of industrial, techno, and EBM to create a unique and powerful sound.

"Kill All Autocrats" features three tracks, each with its own distinct character and energy.
The title track is a driving and relentless track, featuring a pulsing bassline and harsh, metallic sounds that create a sense of tension and urgency.
"Plague" is a darker, more atmospheric track, with a slower tempo and a focus on eerie soundscapes.

It’s a big pleasure for us to welcome back Mario to the label after a long while. He delivers four raw cuts of harsh techno, crude, direct to the bone but always with a wise use of the elements to make things intelligent and intrincated.

First cut Pattern Execution proves all this as a statement. Obsessive sequences, distorted groove elements, tension all over an ever changing arrangement.

Path of Authority reminds the early Birmingham days, again using distorsion as weapon. Bringing the heritage of the best records from the nineties to this dystopian present we live in.

Balance of power runs over similar parameters than the previous two, increasing the BPM rate and delivering more intricated sequence lines and paranoia.

Frontline closes this crude exercise, still fast, still hard but yet mental and futuristic.
