This song was a rant written in about 20 mins. It’s about feeling invisible and undesirable as a fat person, constantly devoting attention towards people pleasing, the solitude of thinking of people who are not thinking of me, and the desire to be in the shoes of stereotypically beautiful person. It’s a call to critique while also demolish desirability politics. It’s a raw wanting to be loved and accepted in the world.

Bare Minimum Baby

This song was written in the basement of my childhood safe haven in New York during New Year’s Eve. It’s an ode to all my friends and family who changed my life. Who’s laughter made believe that I would one day laugh again. Whose love helped me believe that I was deserving of effort and care. My loved ones have loved me back to life. When I was too gone to get out of bed. When I couldn’t see a tomorrow. When I Couldn’t see another decade, they showed me life was possible. This song is for me at my most depressed. Is for anyone who can’t even imagine hoping for things to change. It’s a sweet lullaby that I am so touched to share with you. Thank you so much for your shares. For your attention. For your love.
