أحبك ربي - وتنهالُ كل همومي عليَّ - أبو عبدالملك

I reached what I sought out to do, thanks to Allah.
And in asking you I found pleasure and comfort.
And now I hope for what I previously hoped for.
That is my wish, and with you lies my purpose.

I lived for a while and experienced many scenarios.
And I encountered treachery [from people] that I never imagined.
The days unveiled to me about the nature of life.
And I met in my time the best and worst of people.

As time passed on I passed by all of life's cups.
And I found nothing more distasteful than the drink of treachery.
But nothing heals the soul more than..
reaching its wishes or being victorious.

From anger, I used to blame time. 
But now I have nothing to blame it for.
If there were was a culprit [other than me] before today and yesterday
Then he has vanished remorsefully.

I Reached What I Intended, thanks to Allah - بلغت بحمد الله ما أنا طالب

إن اردتم ان تكونوا شامه بين الورى
فـ إقتفوا اثار جيل للمعالي سطرا
جيل زيد واسيد ومعاذ والبراء
هم نجوم في الدياجي
وعلى الباغي رجوم
هم بدور قد تجلت
لا تواريها الغيوم
كلهم جد وعزم
كلهم غيث عميم
طلقوا الدنيا وعاشوا
في نواحيها مشاعل
ملئوا الأرض سلاماً
وعلوم وفضائل
وهدوا كل ضليل
عن هدى الإسلام مائل
فمتى يا قوم نبني فمتى فمتى
ما بأيدينا هدمنا فمتى فمتى
ليس يجدينا التباهي
بخبيب والمثنى
لن يزيل البغي عنا
قولنا كنا وكنا

إن أردتم أن تكونوا شامةَ بين الورى
