Two pieces by French Baroque composer, François Couperin - the gentle "La Misterieuse" and somber "Les ombres errantes" from his Pièces De Clavecin, Livre IV, Ordre 25. 

This Wigmore Hall recital was part of Dustin's first prize award offered by the New Orleans International Piano Competition, specifically thanks to the late Richard Goula - a past president of the Musical Arts Society of New Orleans.

They come in various shapes, but produce an attractive forward momentum and a positive mood, the minor tonality notwithstanding. The middle section provides contrast of key and melodic shape, but maintains the character. Only in the coda, where the opening tune returns at half speed, does the music offer a sense of poignancy and heartache.
