Tech House Minimix

A friend of mine is involved in a short film project, and asked me to provide some music. The film which is currently in production is an extremely trippy affair based around a couple who are losing their minds. The director asked me to come up with something as dark, heavy, and manic as I could for a very chaotic scene from the film. While this style is extremely different from the music I usually make, I thought I would share it with you anyway. Don't worry though, this isn't a direction I will be taking with my own music!

Using the pretty foolproof tactic of leading with a classic Loleatta Holloway sample, then flaunting a 90s attitude befitting of one of its best known exponents (Yosh’s’ It’s What Upfront That Counts’), the knowledge from the Netherlands provided by Funkerman and the Italian insight of Marco Lys carries over from 2013’s ‘Ya Mamma’ to give deflated dancefloors just the pump they need. Rolling bass, retro keyboards, a supremely executed piano breakdown and the unmistakable shriek of a primetime diva, means ‘The Inside’ leaves its lustre all over podium dancing poles and gets glitterballs lit. Always staying true to his sound, Kevin has previously released on Hot Creations, Viva Music, Material and Dirtybird Records among others.
