'My mix showcases a broader spectrum of my playing style – from indie dance to dark disco. It's a signature blend of dance rhythms, dark vibes, and acid inspirations that currently inspire me. I don’t like sticking to rigid boundaries, and you’re about to hear that'.

Grzechu Warty is from Trzebinia near Krakow, Poland and his is a typical extrovert. He has been behind the decks for over two years, constantly honing his DJ skills. He dislikes confining himself to rigid frameworks and is always ready for experiments. He has had the opportunity to perform in clubs such as SiXa, Szpitalna 1, CEL, and Krakow's Sekta Selekta. He also played in Berlin at X-S Save the Night, supported by Jagermeister and organized by the Queer Trans Liberation Network from Berlin. The mission of this event was to openly discuss the inclusion and active participation of people with disabilities, chronic illnesses, and neurodivergences in the nightlife scene. Since 2021, he has also taken on the role of a promoter, organizing several events in Krakow and the surrounding areas, inviting both friends and young, aspiring DJs. In 2023, he performed at over 19 events, including two festivals. He has experience in organizing charity events and concerts. People say he is an incorrigible optimist.

At the end of 2022, he also formed a duo called @candydoctors together with his friend Mateusz (2kTeo/Make It Weed). The two of them have already played at several events.

BACKGROUND Hegstraction grew up in the 80s & 90s heavily influenced by the emergent electronic music in Amiga, Nintendo & PlayStation video games & the movie soundtracks by electronic music pioneers Jean-Michel Jarre, Tangerine Dream, Vangelis & Kraftwerk. Recent influences from German techno DJ/producers Felix Krocher & Stephan Bodzin.

INSPIRATION His inspiration differs from most artists as it comes from the dance floor where he is most at home. From over 20 years experiencing DJ sets worldwide throughout Europe, Asia, South & North America, his ideas have been shaped.

METHODOLOGY He approaches each track as a mini set, building up slowly, using level changes, sounds that stimulate & energize, following Skeletalism (using closely related sounds) & Massification (layering sounds over time) methods.
