Hand Baggage

"Moods 'n Waves"

They say different moods come in waves, and that was something I had in mind when making this song! Also if you listen carefully, you may recognize a familiar sound or two:) 

I used two virtual instruments here: the synth lead, bass and the keyboard all come from Arturia Mini-V (emulating the ever-so-lovely classic Minimoog synthesizer), and the drum track was programmed mainly with the EG Pulse drum machine/sampler for iOS, using the 707 drum kit.

This was played using a 37-key Korg microKEY Air midi keyboard as a midi controller. Don't ask what the chords are.. I have no idea:) I just started stacking voices and chords on top of each other and this is where I landed. 

Recorded and mixed in Cubase using iZotope Neutron. Mastered with iZotope Ozone.

Dear friends, sometimes you can use music for political messages.
We have now had a big election for the European Union. You can clearly see that the right-hand winds blow strongly, especially on the continent, not in the Nordic countries, however.
I think this is due to a great deal of dissatisfaction with the policies that have been pursued - action on climate change costs - and it costs a lot for ordinary people. We also have a bloody, disgusting war against Ukraine and terrible wars in the Middle East. Who is right??
However, music unites us all.

The Election

Today I voted for the kindest of the
delegates from here
The say that they care for everybody living on this spot
no matter how folk looks or what they think
all the people are welcome to join our society
and in peace


The winds from the right might be so dangerous for the
people down here
The freedom to speak may be limited or non-existing here
in the totalitarian state that we may get
if the right winds are blowing and our hats start to blow far away
with the wind

How come that these winds are here - they maybe reflect 
despondency here
There are anxiety everywhere and many people have died in cruel wars
and many people lack money for to spend
and all crime is in full bloom and there is no one who know what to do
in the end
