As title suggests, the track started with a recording of an improv session with the Bastl Instruments Kastle, which I fed into the SunVox sampler module, using the pitch detector module to trigger additional synths and the drumsynth. The stems then went into Ableton Live, mainly for editing of the drum track, automating levels and "mastering" via iZotope Ozone Elements.

Extra-Large Plants

I recently hesitated about selling my NTS-1 after it had spent a looong time on the shelf unused. I gave it a few spins, and fiddled with user-made plugins, notably the free drum machines by Ulmert (bobby and betty) and Bram Bos (ruismaker). I ended up sampling some beats and arpeggios and building this track using a few more Legowelt synth samples. Added treatment in Ableton Live, too.
