After his first experience with industrial-metal band ThyEdge (Top Demo on GrindZone and rave reviews in various zines of the genre), El Puerco (born Marco Cavallaro, also known as Dj DKG)  starts to mix music in 1999 .

In 2000 he founded the NeueLicht Inc duo.  NLI combined elements of UK Hardhouse, Trance, Electro and Industrial and played in clubs like ALIEN and ALPHAUES in Rome and  PROPAGANDA in Turin, sharing the console with ugly mug shots the like of the SLIMElIGHT dj’s (London) and the electroclash band Avenue D (New York).

After a couple of whitenoise and beat free years El Puerco decided to go back in studio in the endeavor of mixing his previous influences with more modern and club friendly sounds and managed to play his songs on RinseFM (UK) radio and Radio Deejay (Italy).

Mute was founded by Daniel Miller in 1978, and since then has signed and developed some of the world’s most influential recording artists – including Goldfrapp, Liars, Moby, M83, Erasure, Depeche Mode, Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds, Laibach, Yeasayer and Richard Hawley – and become home to a crop of emerging talent and recent signings such as Cold Specks, Polly Scattergood, Big Deal, Beth Jeans Houghton, Josh T. Pearson and Apparat.

Whilst maintaining a firmly eclectic roster, from the earliest days of The Normal, Fad Gadget and DAF through to the techno era with artists such as Plastikman / Richie Hawtin and Speedy J, and to the present day with electronic artists such as Diamond Version and Maps, the label has always been a champion of electronic music.

Mute is also home to the catalogue of a host of seminal artists such as Can and Cabaret Voltaire.

Daniel Miller is the founder of Mute, launched in 1978 with his own 7” single - ‘Warm Leatherette’ under the name The Normal. 

Since then, Mute has grown from Miller’s one-man operation into a global group of companies and today, as ever, Miller remains heavily focussed on Mute’s creative output.

Although he DJed many years ago, Daniel Miller’s recent DJing was inspired by an invitation from Karl O’Connor aka Regis who invited him to perform at a Sandwell District event at Berlin’s Berghain. There he caught the bug to play again and since has been playing regular techno  sets worldwide including Sonar, ENTER at Space in Ibiza, ADE in Amsterdam, IMS at Ibiza, Electron festival, LEAF festival in London as well as at Culture Box in Copenhagen, Bootleg in Tel Aviv and, of course, a legendary performance at M-Nus’ Christmas Boiler Room in Berlin.

Forthcoming appearances include sets at ENTER. in Ibiza , Nuit Sonores in Lyon and Sonar in Barcelona.

Sasha Grey made her name as one of the most notorious adult film stars in recent history, moving on with a no regrets attitude she in 2009 at age 21. Grey has been making music since 2007, and deejaying internationally since 2010. 

As a musician, she’s written and produced her own original songs and remixes under the moniker aTelecine. She’s also lent her voice to tracks by artists Infected Mushroom, Current 93, X-TG (Throbbing Gristle). United over a love of Throbbing Gristle and Chris and Cosey, Richard Fearless (Death in Vegas) recently partnered with Grey as writer and vocalist, for a new album, Transmission. Transmission was released on Drone in 2016. The single 'Consequences of Love' appears in 'Mission Impossible Fallout'. Their latest single 'Honey' was released in June 2018.
