Brighter Days

Brass Tax had our own stage at BOC this year, tucked away from the fray up in a corner, and we couldn't have been happier with seeing all the beautiful (masked) faces who came by to say hello! In addition to being my first public appearance since NYD 2020, this is one of my favorite sets I've ever played, full of funky, soulful house, midtempo breaks, and groovy rolling basslines. We didn't get a recording at the festival, so I decided to recreate it live from Bowerbird. Hope you enjoy it as much as I did!

For this installment of my chill series I found inspiration the moment I heard a vocodered voice singing Hotel California in the Luxxury edit. A week later I heard AfroQBen's amazing remix of Sweet Emotion by Aerosmith and I was off to the races. Being a New Wave kid as a teen I didn't get into many of these songs until my adult years and yet somehow I listen to this mix and it makes me feel like a teenager again.

The Boogie Man Podcast Vol 2 - Bringin it Back

I recently had the pleasure of Dj'ing my friend Jay and Meg's wedding and was tasked with coming up with something that EVERYONE of all ages, shapes and sizes could connect to and get down to on the dance floor.  This was my attempt in doing just that.  An eclectic blend of retro funk, 80's rock and 90's hip/hop all rolled into one bass pumping package.  Hope you enjoy!

What do you call 70 good friends on a 60' custom catamaran, with an open-bar & booming sound system, celebrating our amazing friends' wedding, while cruising Mexico's Banderas Bay on a glorious sunny day? Fantástico viaje!

This is a polished version of the marathon set I played upon said party boat earlier this month. 2.5 hours of funky feel-good beats, chock-full of sunshine and love!

If you're ever visiting Puerto Vallarta, Sayulita, etc... I highly reccommend Ally Cat Sailing Adventures. Beautiful boat, and fun, friendly, entertaining crew. I will definitely be back some day soon...
