Für die Ewigwachgebliebenen zum Feierabendbier, für die Frühaufsteher als Seelenfutter zum Wochenbeginn: Montagssorbet mit Laut & Luise. Alles erlaubt, was gut tut und Gedanken kreisen lässt, nur der Name ist Programm: cremig, fluffig und ganz schön weich.

Zwischen straff getaktetem Releasetrouble und wild-metaphorischer Wüstenstapferei, schickt sich dieser Montag als allzu angebracht an ein wenig zu verschnaufen (jess). @KeralaDust ist nicht nur gut mit schönen Tönen, eben auch dem guten Ton: Wohl maniert – wie in: gute Manieren – steht die Türe offen zum privaten Wohnzimmerkonzert. Wie die Prinzessin auf dem Sandkorn legen wir uns mal wieder auf den Läufer und lauschen dieser Wüste, der wir eigentlich noch fremd sind.

Ambient Sessions # 47 - Halftribe

The Birds off their nests to bring you an exquisite little treat from San Francisco - this is Yaniv De Ridder aka YNV: a Brussels born music lover, video artist, music curator who now finds himself in sunny California. Both in his mixes and his videos, he exploits the liminal space between our most disparate emotional states and the tenuous thread that binds our inner world to reality at its face value. Still strongly rooted in his European basis, in his selections you can hear the influence of his homeland with some California sunshine and a palm tree thrown in for good measure.

YNV also runs a monthly party in San Francisco called Vague Terrain.
Serving up a highly danceable blend of slow-mo techno, tropical biorhythms, confused breakbeats, industrial-strength ambient, sloppy dub, post-punk kosmische, IDM, EBM, and more, VT focuses on an eclectic strain of uncommon sounds not found on most North American dancefloors.

In his mix for the Birds YVN delivers an hour and a half of kosmische sludgery, tribal and exotic flirts as well as new and old spacey gems. My only advice - get on the ride with dolphins between the lands of fire and ice.

This was my first experience travelling to the magical location Inland NSW and what a treat it was to play on the water stage next to Lake Burrinjuck with Knobs, Paul Abad, Gabriel Moraes, Bloom and Zigmon.
