The music - commissioned for an exhibition of works by Jean Cocteau - is entirely based on the final piano cadenza of "Now nothing" by the Penguin Cafe Orchestra.

It features contributions by Simon Jeffes, Marco Lucchi, Roberto Corsini, Mario Nobile, Dario Derek Lucchi, Lucio Bosi, Giampaolo Violi, Giza (Bram de Jonge), Alejo Nobili, _ , Umiomiomiomio (Umio Miyazaki), Hidekazu Wakabayashi, Christian Vasseur, Jimmy Lolek, Rainier Lericolais, Duet for Theremin and Lap Steel (Scott Burland) and Louise Bronx.

Memories float between silent towers and wandering lights, where shadows curve and linger endlessly. Fragments of warmth and sadness intertwine between the cold stone and fading echoes, tracing paths lived and never forgotten. Beyond the horizon, the light silently gathers, enveloping time within itself, leaving only the pulse of memory suspended between what was and what remains.

HEMSING enjoys composing and drawing inspiration from various music genres. With his solo work, he successfully navigates a seamless blend of contemporary neoclassic and experimental ambience music. As a live keyboardist and pianist, HEMSING regularly performs with bands, such as his Jazz Trio Nu Jazz Avenue and collaborates with singers at numerous concerts and festivals.

It took some time for him to finally release solo music, as he had always been involved in group or band contexts. However, the release and success of his first single, Felt, gave him the confidence to continue. His fifth single called, Stiller, even made it onto Nils Frahm‘s official Piano Day playlist.

In March 2024, HEMSING moved to Paris, where he is exploring new opportunities to perform live and connect with the local music scene. In the meantime, he continues his solo work. Plans for concerts and more electronic songs are becoming increasingly concrete. There is so much more to come.
