Hence Therefore makes a long overdue return to All Centre, putting together his first release on the label since 2019. The Warrang/Sydney-based artist delivers two fast-slow stormers on Elite Panic, channeling forward-thinking production into endlessly compelling dancefloor cuts.

The title track opens with dubbed-out sirens and scattered breaks, building the tension with elasticated bass hits and rolling kicks. Rising, radiant synths lift the track to new heights, reaching euphoric peaks amongst hectic percussive patterns which envelope and intoxicate the listener.

On Zero Trust, filtered vocals bubble beneath the surface whilst infectious percussion stutters across the frequency spectrum. A bouncy sub bass punches its way amongst the percussion whilst floaty synth lines alternate and intersect, reaching new levels with the introduction of a mesmerising droning synth line, then launching back into a heavy, propulsive rhythm.

'Elite Panic' is a forthcoming two-tracker by Gadigal/Wangal Land based Hence Therefore, a bouncy, melted duo of dancehall steppers. The producer, sometimes live performer & DJ has seen praise across the seas, with releases on Early Reflex, DECISIONS and 3bs, as well as regular plays by Batu, M.E.S.H., object blue, AYA, Laksa & many more.

'Zero Trust' is track 2/2 of the release. Regularly switching between half & doubletime, 'Zero Trust' is like a soft, gooey centre at the core of any good dance floor. Textured, building and unpredictable, it seems to do everything bar physically lifting you off your feet.

Of the release, Hence Therefore shared: "The EP title is a phrase I came across in Rebecca Solnit's A Paradise Built In Hell - she writes that in a catastrophe most of us get on with helping each other with the necessities of life while the rich & powerful freak out about law, order & commerce... "

& of the track: "Some string-flourishing sample from the All Centre discord server got shredded into icy dancehall groove with a randomised arpeggiator. An uncharacteristically crisp & whirring stepper developed around it - playfully wrong-footed low end, attempted snare abstinence, snare indulgence, caroline_gasp.wav, things of this nature."

3BS Records presents an EP of raw dystopian/utopian techno from Hence Therefore.

Machine For Destroying Value is the result of years of Sydney inner-western toil, forging a set of tools to improvise live soundscapes with equal emphasis on full body movement and lofty cerebral highs. Welded within these distorted waves of despair lies a message of hope for the precariat.

For our first anniversary as a label, we have prepared a compilation of tracks by our closest associates, collaborators and some randomly found favourites, who might also make future appearances on our imprint. 

One of the firmly established names on the label is Dempa, with his take on leftfield techno with twirling melodies, showcasing his diversity as a producer we love down here in our label headquarters (FYI, there's no such thing as LBD label headquarters, we are not fucking Innervisions...).

Another label mainstay and our good friend Regular Customer has arrived with one off-beat break belter, as well as a synth-dreamy track for a good measure. 

Amongst the first appearances on our label are talented Varum, hailing from Leipzig with well crafted electro-influenced tunes. His Break & Enter pt.3 is expected to make a lot of damage on the dancefloors with its fierce breakbeat rhythms, while Das 8. Bruch might well be the candidate for a perfect set-closing tracks. 

Italy is represented by mysterious Indipendente (93), with influences from new disco Napolitan sound morphing into the house territories, while Lithuanian producer IJO offers two different takes on moody and deep acid. And finally, Czech fast rising talent Oliver Torr delivers two excellent ambient techno cuts for afterhour sessions and Aussie producer, now residing in London, Hence Therefore comes up with two otherworldly and disorienting techno tracks.

HENCE THEREFORE returns with STRATA, a new album of subtle ambient pieces. Culled from hours of iterative improvisation during a period of peak anxiety and insomniac disorientation, Strata's minimalist phrases expand languidly and fold back on themselves. Transients and reverb tails creak and shift uneasily like bumps and murmurs heard through walls. These are recordings whose nocturnal, domestic stillness is charged with a tension between comfort and dread.

A side ‘Waste Frontier’ utilises elastic percussion and torn samples drenched in his signature atmospheric reverbs as it Gradually building from a handful of carefully placed elements into a spacious dance floor excursion. The body of the track melodies and kick drum patterns against each other eventually giving way to an emotive lead melody supported by driving drums.

B side ‘Census Map Museum’ axises around a chromatic melody which bobs around the stereo field as the frenetic percussion builds around it. As the track presses on supporting melodies grow from the main motif creating a web ear worms that carefully jostle amongst one another.

Waste Frontier is available across all platforms from the 18th of October.

Early Reflex is the new label run by Turin-based producer and DJ, Alec Pace. Aiming to both push experimental club music boundaries forward and promote new artists, the first release, out on the 30th, of April is a 9-track compilation titled FLEX001 heavily influenced by leftfield techno and bass music sounds.

The release features critically acclaimed artists such as Loraine James, Sonia Calico, and Hence Therefore; electronic beats manglers like hmurd and Lorem; TT Label and All Centre founder and producer DJ P; and debuts from both Croatian N/OBE and Taiwanese Nanassus.

Touching multiple aspects of club music, yet evocative of a more subversive, darker atmosphere, FLEX001 will accompany listeners through a musical and sensory journey. The compilation breaks geographic borders and brings together a kaleidoscopic set of tracks that blend experimental sounds with the functional aim of getting dance floors light up, as the title suggests.

FLEX001 comes out as a strong, clear statement about what Early Reflex label is all about and what to expect from it in the future.

FLEX001 compilation is available on all platforms on Thursday 30th of April 2020.
