We mythologize a lot of our history - a lot that we think did happen, didn't, and a lot that we didn't realize happened, did. The lyrics here are just a few examples, but all have backing evidence. Do you know your own history? If you don't, then how are you going to possibly be able to comment on the present? How will you build an a-historical future?

Here Be Monsters is an independent folk-punk project currently based out of Georgia consisting of one member. It delivers lo-fi, emotive music through the use of traditional punk and folk instrumentation, such as guitar, drums, bass, mandolin, and concertina.

The subject matter of Here Be Monsters is largely personal and philosophical, however it prides itself on having an unapologetically feminist ethos and remains a strong ally to the LBGTQ community.

Here Be Monsters is a passion project - everything made and produced for it is and will always be free, or at least as cheap as possible.
