This is my final track for VGM Academy's 21 Days of VGM daily composition challenge!

I'm super proud of how this one turned out, my aim was to mix that 'epic' cinematic orchestral sound with something that also sounds quintessentially video-gamey.

I don‘t know what made me think it‘s okay to write a piece with 13/16 time signature, and changing time signature every few bars... But I did it anyway. Since the 13/16 is a sort of groove, the orchestra managed to internalise this rhythm pretty quickly and even had a lot of fun playing it.

Special mention for the pianist, Laura Livers, for her awesome piano playing and help training the tenor to sing this challenging piece.
