Lazy Morning

Wil Bolton's 'Maemi' takes its title from the Korean word for cicadas. Recorded live at Cafe OTO, London during the Home Normal label's Homenormalism festival on 3 August 2013, Wil weaves effected guitar drones, synthesizer, music box, effects pedals and environmental sounds creating a slow moving dronescape. The environmental sounds - timber mill machinery, traffic, and the buzz of cicadas - were recorded in Incheon, South Korea in August 2012, during an artist residency at the Incheon Art Platform.

Postcard 39 comes from Andrew Tasselmyer. Also known as one third of the ambient super band Hotel Neon, Andrew has been putting out sublime drones on the likes of Fluid Audio, Home Normal, Archives and Polar Seas. On Maui, found sounds recorded on the island are paired with lush drones that induce a state of dream-like calm. Maui has been beautifully mastered by Tobias Hellkvist.

From my newly finished album 'Sight Seeing' - a musical theme and variations depicting different eye conditions.  Using an initial theme, the melody and harmony are taken away, distorted or otherwise changed to musically depict a number of common visual disturbances and conditions, from the sparseness of peripheral vision loss to the hallucinatory Charles Bonnet syndrome.
