A unique blend of three early vintage electronic piano timbres including the grainy organic nature of Hideaway’s very own and rather infamously “vintage calibrated” 1938 Novachord #346 proving a special ingredient in the lower registers, the 1976 Polymoog 203A adding much of the mid-range warmth and the really quite beautiful highs were thanks to the 1974 Syntorchestra with the help of the Omega 8. After much play testing the samples were carefully layered and tube equalised.

This rare combination of instruments is available complete with GUI for Kontakt 4.2.4 and above.

Mattias Östling makes a welcome return to Love Love as Rolando Simmons for new LP 'Animatronics' after recent forays on Analogical Force and Furthur Electronix and nearly 8 years on from his Love Love debut 'World Building'. Hailing from rural Sweden, Östling creates understated but rich and dreamlike productions which have seen him become a familiar name beyond the braindance circles his music first found a home in, playing live at venues in the UK like Fold and Houghton Festival.  
  
As is characteristic of Rolando Simmons' work, a strong sense of narrative runs throughout this LP. 'Animatronics' stylistically plays across the gamut of Electronica, from the lush, playful braindance of 2nd track 'Purple Soap', to the upbeat syncopated rhythms within 'GlobalGroove Dust Club', and the slowly advancing icy ambient techno dirge of closer 'Memory Defrost'. The ephemeral ambient elements laced throughout allude to a sense of comfortable sedation but darker shades no doubt loom beneath. Measured in its operation and warm in its presentation, the album often steers into unknown spaces, moving through a range of tonal shifts, all the while feeling contained within a unified and detailed imaginary world.

D.A.Wilson is an Electronic Engineer, Sound Designer & Vintage Synth Specialist with a particular interest in combining vintage tube, classic analog and modern digital technologies working as a synth engineer looking after a very considerable amount of vintage studio equipment for Will Gregory (Goldfrapp / Moog Ensemble) and a number of other internationally celebrated electronic musicians and producers.  Having undertaken several major restorations and produced custom electronic designs for a number of major artists including Jean-Michel Jarre, Dani is also known for fully restoring two out of the world's four remaining 1979 Crumar GDS and partially restoring 1938 Novachord 346 (the only known operational Novachord in the UK) to playable order along with developing and producing the new Elfin family of 8-bit polysynths and the popular MIDI Front Panel Animator (FPA), Filter Defeat Module (FDM) and XD-280 Drive Emulator upgrades for the AKAI S612 sampler.
