Avocado’s trademark sound as a DJ ranges somewhere between Tech House, Deep House and Techno - he himself likes to refer to his sound as ‚Programm House‘. Sometimes more, sometimes less melodic, always groovy, energetic & dark. Despite his young age (29), Avocado‘s experience as a DJ enables him to adapt to any crowd - at any given time or place, Avocado knows how to drive an audience crazy.

<p>Label boss Ramon Tapia goes for the double attack on this one, and the title track takes no prisoners with rumbling sub bass and sticky stabs which evolve over the length of the affair. Cryptic, metallic chords intertwine with the commanding synths and the spacious breakdowns act as the perfect calm before the storm. <br />
 As the title suggests, &#8220;Gloom Of Unity&#8221; boasts slowly filtering pads that set the tone accordingly, leaving ample room for nostalgic melodies and a busy rhythm section to unfold. An epic-sounding breakdown brings in the anthemic feelings, before the ride continues into the night.</p>

It’s no secret that Collective States are avid sci-fi fans and to celebrate the forthcoming release of Star Wars "The Last Jedi" movie in December we are giving away their galactic inspired thumper “I Rebel”.  This is already on the USB sticks of a diverse range of artists from Alan Fitzpatrick to Phillip George, so consider this an early Christmas gift!  
It’s been a great 2017 for Collective States with both their “Krypton and “Planet Mongo” releases charting highly in Beatport, several prime time radio plays, a highly revered mix on John Digweed's "Transitions" show and their remixes of Ronnie Spiteri's "Fearless" and Stuart King's "Chanjira" getting rave reviews.  
2018 is looking like no exception with 2 releases already penned on super credible labels and another couple on the super credible High Tide Recordings of course!!!

High Tide is a collective of great friends, seasoned promoters and we like to think accomplished DJs!  We have regularly performed alongside our peers including the likes of Carl Cox, Seth Troxler, Groove Armada, Jamie Jones, Sasha, John Digweed, Joris Voorn, Hot Since 82, Steve Lawler, Skream, Annie Mac, Kolsch, Pete Tong and Dubfire to name but a few as well as locally based pals James Zabiela and Alan Fitzpatrick.  We’ve put on some cracking parties too, our most infamous being the High Tide Boat Parties from Southampton in the UK.

With an endearing love for electronic music and some positive traction from the producers within our ranks it has been a long time coming for High Tide Recordings.  We don’t give a flying f#*k about making money (lets hope we don’t lose too much though ☺), but if we get to release great underground dance music, educate ourselves in the process and have fun along the way we’ll be more than happy.
