This week presented the talented Jake Beautyman. Raised on the minimal sounds of the original tech scene, Jake has many of his own productions already under his belt with new vinyl releases just out and more to come throughout the year. He has played alongside many of the Tech House originators that are all eager to have him on their lineups. He has most recently played for MR.C for the 20th anniversary of Superfreq and is also supported by the main man of original Tech House, Terry Francis

Still in his tender early 20's and after just 4 years of being immersed in the scene… Jake’s immense achievements have included: a Beatport #1, multiple chart placements / homepage features, 4 tracks supported on BBC Radio 1 national radio & selling out 2 Vinyl releases independently. In the realm of production he has worked with the likes of; Terry Francis, Orlando Voorn, David Scuba, Damolh33 & Mr.C to name a few. 

Jake holds a DJ residency for both Superfreq + FUMP & has played with the legendary Wiggle crew for their unforgettable anniversary at The Cause. He has also played at Fabric 4 times in the past year supporting the likes of; Joseph Capriati, Joris Voorn, Lily Palmer, Kölsch, Darius Syrossian, Saytek, Max Chapman, Alan Fitzpatrick, Chloé Robinson & many more. In fact… to be precise Jake was snapped up for 26 gigs by 17 different promoters over the course of 2022 alone! 

The unique style Jake brings to the ‘underground’ scene seems to be the perfect bridge between tech houses original grass roots... and where it is now heading in modern day times!

Jake has quite literally, been around House & Tech House culture since the womb - dating back to 97’ where he was raving in his mum’s stomach at the infamous 'Wiggle' events!

Vek Neirbo is the unruly alter-ego moniker of longtime U.S. based DJ and producer, Kev Obrien. 

Recently relocated in the Mile High City of Denver, Vek's musical focus is honed in on tripped-out, hypnotic minimal, tech house, and breakbeat -- best served after 4am, when the party is at its freakiest.  

This particular set was recorded at a private afterhours in Denver, Colorado during the early morning hours. 

In the daylight hours, he works full time as a Label Manager for underground labels such as Superlux Records, Eyedyllic Music, Moteur Ville Musique, and others -- collectively releasing music from artists such as Akufen, Delano Smith, Jay Tripwire, Mike Shannon, Robert James, Subb-An, Voigtmann, and many others.

Keep your eyes and ears peeled for Vek's new vinyl-only label, Hypnodose, which will launch later this year!
