Dear friends - a little song about our nature.
This is a picture from "Stens huvud" in the south east of Sweden.
Approximate translation into English:

The Stream

I walk along the stream
that glitters in the morning light
i can see all the trees reflected here
they seem oblivious to what we humans do

I sit down there
the most beautiful flowers exist
I have to be very careful so they are always there
when all our children go out to see how everything is

What is it
that splashes at the edge of the stream
it looks like a beaver building a nest
he tears and drags on a branch which he places as a roof
 
Over there under the trees
small birds can take a dip
and they chirp and they play for a while with each other
and they haven't seen me yet because I'm as quiet as a mouse

Jag vandrar längs bäcken
som glimrar i morgonens ljus
jag kan se alla träden som speglar sig här
de verkar vara omedvetna om vad vi människor gör 

Jag sätter mig ner där
de vackraste blommorna finns
jag ska vara väldigt varsam så de alltid finns kvar
när alla våra barn går ut för att se hur allting är 

Vad är det för något
som plaskar vid bäckens kant
det ser ut som en bäver som bygger sig ett bo
han sliter och släpar på en gren som han lägger som ett tak
 
Där borta under träden
små fåglar kan ta sig ett dopp
och de kvittrar och de leker en stund med varann
och de har inte sett mig ännu för jag är tyst som en mus

'The Long Climb Down' is a mixed genre track inspired by my past hill climbing days. The exhilaration and peacefullness on reaching the top and then the sometimes lenghly journey back down, tired but still running on adrenaline. And so the piece is in four sections. Going up - reaching the top - going down - walking home fullfilled.

The Music of Sound...really!!  It's all grist for the mill.  I visualize Sound/Music as colors, shapes and forms rather than notes in a scale.  I look upon each of these pieces as individual environments and/or sculptures in which to spend some time, looking round, feeling the curves, hanging out, exploring... Each composition is based on different elements, structures and rules or lack thereof.  Consequently, each is unique unto itself.  

Blissfully free of genre, everything is fair game:  beats; melodies; disquiet; washes; pulses; broken clichés and memes; subliminals; words and voices; chaos; sonorities; field recordings; indeterminacy; world music; the holy; the gutter; otherworld music; drones; synths; samples, etc. etc.  etc.  

I enjoy entering into the mitochondria of what makes a sound  that particular sound and then genetically change it into something entirely different than what it was - with just the essence lingering.  I also like to explore the "in-betweens" - spaces between beats, frequencies, timbres, spaces, tones, etc. In large part, simply, I'm curious to explore it all.  Suffice it to say, the wider your aperture the more you will hear and experience.  Et voila!

Oh!  Headphones will likely provide a more fulsome listening experience for many of the pieces.
