Daria Sokolova/ gialligari emerged in Kyiv underground scene initially associated with her varied-style selections of dark and experimental music on 20ft radio. Influenced by artists like Coil, Cabaret Voltaire, and Skinny Puppy her rhythmic concepts cycle through a diversity of genres from noisy industrial and techno to breakcore and gabber. Broken beats and enhanced emotional crossroads wrapped in invisible melodicism are some things to look forward to in her rule-denying sets.

It might be thought the distinction drawn between home and house music is aberrant and indicates nothing more than a clumsy translation. Inevitably, both are using the very similar constituent parts, and what is more important — both are embedded in complex social practices, some of which are narrowly musical and others more widely cultural, from which they cannot easily be abstracted. However, instead of something distinguished from something else, imagine something which distinguishes itself — and yet that from which it distinguishes itself does not distinguish itself from it. The author doesn’t ask listeners to reveal it, but would suppose a case where one will use these three pieces as a starting point for home music phenomena appreciation.
