É com enorme prazer que lançamos a Rádio Exótica, série de mixes onde convidaremos amigos e seletores que admiramos. E para dar o ponta pé inicial, um querido amigo da hOmeTown, Pascal aka Temise. 

Nascido e criado em Eindhoven, Temise começou um coletivo chamado "Vulgair" há pouco mais de 10 anos. Vulgair era conhecido por suas festas um pouco fora da lei em armazéns abandonados e áreas arborizadas de difícil acesso. Ao fazer isso, criaram um terreno fértil para criativos produtores locais, enquanto impulsionavam discretamente sua própria carreira de DJ nos bastidores. Ele decidiu deixar tudo isso para se tornar um enólogo em Bordeaux. Tocar em clubes como o iBoat com um copo de vinho na mão logo se tornou um sonho realizado. No entanto, os sons ecléticos tropicais e funk dentro da cena musical holandesa o trouxeram de volta a Maastricht e Amsterdam, onde ele reside hoje. Seu gosto por vinhos reflete suas escolhas musicais, que vão desde o Zouk frutado até os sons marcantes do Highlife e o caloroso Disco terroso, e todos os taninos intermediários.

With big pleasure we comeback to the airwaves with the Rádio Exótica, a mix series focused on friends and diggers that we admire. And for the number 1, a good friend from the lowlands, Pascal aka Temise.

Born and raised in the city of light, Eindhoven. He started a collective named “Vulgair” a little over 10 years ago. Vulgair was known for their slightly non-legal parties in abandoned warehouses and hard to find woody areas. By doing so, they creating a breeding ground for local creatives while simultaneously boosting his own DJ career in the background. He decided to leave it all by becoming a vinologist in Bordeaux. Playing clubs like iBoat with a glass of wine in his hand has shortly been a dream come true. But in the end the eclectic tropical and funky sounds within the Dutch music scene drew him back to Maastricht and Amsterdam where he resides today. His taste for wine reflects his musical choices ranging from fruity Zouk to the stingy sounds of Highlife and warm earthy Disco and every tannin in between.

Those of you acquainted with our releases should be familiar with the multi-faceted work of our friend Michael Klausman. Besides releasing a book of his poetry, Aeolian Darts, a few years ago, he’s collaborated with us on releases and hipped us to a million fascinating things. He runs the Colorado-based Wry Press, co-edits & publishes the little poetry mag, Luigi Ten Co and released a cassette of sound works as Fielding Daws, one of our favourite releases last year. For this episode Michael has compiled a mix called "Poet Song,” largely drawn from hiding-in-plain sight audio collections of academic archives, LPs released in tiny editions, as well as CDs, tapes, and mp3s sent to the compiler by various authors & collaborators.
